Loose powder recommendations

After a year of sorting out a decent skincare routine and finally looking after my skin, I am ready to face the world without foundation. Something I haven't done since I was 14.

I do still need to use cream concealer around my eyes and nose, and would like to find a decent powder to set it and take away any shine. Pressed powders are too matt and seem to age me terribly.

TIA

I use Boots No. 7, it's £11.00 a pot but I buy it when they're doing a 3 for 2. It's the best one I've used.

I started using the Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder a couple of years ago and wouldn't be without it.

Best foundation I've used is Armani lasting silk foundation, lasts forever and you only need a tiny blob. Doesnt flake or cake or become congealed.

Mac pro longwear concealer -again a tiny bit goes a long way. Can't actually remember when I got mine and use 5/6 days a week on various places on my face (nose, eyebrow definition and under eyes).

Second laura mercier powder or another one I use is Kat Von D lock it.

I would recommend you Invest in some good brushes too :)

Clinique loose translucent powder. Been using it since 1994. But have also heard good things about Laura Mercier.

I like Fenty loose powder. A bit cheaper than Laura Mercier and you get a lot. I find the packaging good too - easy to use with a puff, and it comes with a stopper top for travel. It also comes in a smaller size if you want to test it out. Good range of colours, I'm using the Lavender one which is pretty much a white colourless one. Slightly scented.

If your budget can stretch the hourglass veil loose is very nice

Bobbi Brown
Skin weightless powder foundation
Looks great when applied with a brush.

The Body Shop offer some fantastic, reasonably priced make-up brushes. Their range was recommended to me by a Bobbi Brown make-up consultant.

I have the Laura Mercier one, Chanel one and Hourglass one (all loose).
The chanel one is hands down the best.
