Low rise jeans/trousers

HappyHolidays75 · 01/02/2020 22:23

I avoid clothes shopping most of the time, but my jeans are wearing out.
Last time I bought them, low rise were everywhere and now I cant find any!
I liked gap and next before.
Tried next mid-rise but they need pulling up all the time.
Can anyone help? Do low rise exist somewhere? Where do I need to look?
Thanks for any suggestions!

Low rise feels much more comfortable and suits certain shapes better, fits nicer on a smaller arse and flat stomach, belts also look better on a low rise

Completely agree

high rise just feel like wearing an old lady corset
hell yes and dont even think about eating a burger in high rise

Falcon1 · 03/02/2020 17:48

I got some nice low rise jeans from Hollister

LaCerbiatta · 03/02/2020 20:37

I don't think low rise look flattering on anyone?

If your legs go up to your armpits then high rise looks seriously unflattering!

HappyHolidays75 · 04/02/2020 16:47

H+M ones arrived.
Super stretch, super skinny, low rise and THEY FIT!
3 lengths available too.
Thanks so much everyone for making me not feel like a weirdo.
I think they look fine for a mid 40s mother of 3!

Perfect on you! So pleased you are happy about them. Wear them for a week just to get an idea if the stretch gives way or not (it does in some of their jeans), then get two more pairs.
Try Hollister in the sales, their fabric seems a bit more substantial.
You are not a weirdo, I am very disappointed with the lack of choice in the past few years.

@HappyHolidays75 - Lovely! I don’t want to boast (well OK, just a bit Wink) but l told you so!

HappyHolidays75 · 05/02/2020 16:10

@StarlightLady I am delighted, boast away.
And @Branster it turns out I live nearby a Hollister outlet. Who knew? I'd never have gone in before, but will do now.
Now, what is my next clothing dilemma for you lovely lot to fix.....?

What @PhoneLock says. Also, high rise feel like they are digging into me. Oh how I long for low rise to come back into mainstream. I love the H&M ones - they never have black in stock though.

Cailindeas35 · 05/02/2020 16:33

I love the h&m ones, never go baggy and for just under €20 an absolute bargain.
I hate high and mid rise. They make my stomach hurt. Apart I have never seen them to flatter, they seem to make people's arses look square. Not a good look imo.

Cailindeas35 · 05/02/2020 16:35

I have every colour, I'm terrified of h&m discontinuing them.

StarlightLady · 05/02/2020 17:37

High rise just are not comfy for me when l sit down. The moral behind the story is that we are all different shapes and sizes and there is no one size fits all.

oohnicevase · 05/02/2020 21:21

@happyholidays
Can you link to the jeans you have bought please

yes^^!!

But still, it is entertaining reading people hell bent on taking down high rise or low rise like there is a 'right' answer and they are going to prove it!! Hmm
