Nit treatment to straighten hair

For about the millionth time I’m treating my hair for nits. 4dds with long hair and I’m a TA, been here lots of times before! My hair always looks good and straight! At 48, I struggle to maintain frizz as I’ve gotten older and I used to have such beautiful thick hair. I really struggle to get a post-nit treatment look! Is their a wash-in oil that would do this? I struggle to look as good and polished as I did before kids and think getting my shit together with my hair would really help me feel good about myself.

For reference, I wash with aragon oil shampoo. Should I add on oil before I dry? Two dc have SN, one needs lots of support, so I have little chance to research thoroughly and try. I buy products that don’t seem to work. Nit treatment is too expensive to use weekly! Any advice?

I have a Brazilian blow dry as my hair can get frizzy, it’s fantastic, only annoying bit is not being allowed to wash your hair for 72 hours after

I'd say you have to be pretty genetically gifted to get away with just using shampoo and coming out with smooth glossy hair. Depending on what the nit treatment is, maybe you do need to add more moisture. Has your hairdresser ever told you your hair type? You would want to treat it differently depending on whether it is dry, damaged, coarse, fine etc nowadays. Try conditioner and an oil or serum before you dry, that will add moisture and help your hair look and feel stronger and shinier.
