Keratin but I'm not Brazilian or afro

Hello

Can anyone talk to me about Keratin? Home treatment ideally.

I need an intensive conditioner, my hair is Mediterranean, frizzy, light, but not exactly curly.

I've been looking into Keratin, but unsure it's for me.
I like body/volume in my hair, so I tend to use coconut conditioner and then blow dry it straight, but I never get that lovely shine that other hair types have.

I'm basically looking for a shine, without flattening my hair completely with straighteners so it loses volume.

Can you use keratin without straightening your hair? As I understand the heat "fixes" it, so you need the straightener? but I'd like to gain that shiny look without losing that big volume look!

I'm basically asking, can you apply keratin to get shine, then blow dry without straightening?

Any advice would be great.

Morning - I don't know anything about Keratin, but I do have curly hair. I came across the curly hair method about a year ago and have seen vast improvements. If you're saying your hair isn't exactly curly you can try the wavies group. All that blowdrying, straightening is damaging your hair - go natural!

I've not tried a home kit as I'd need two boxes to cover my hair but I've had it done at the hairdressers and it's amazing.

I have very thick wiry, frizzy hair that never looks smooth even after I use straightener. This treatment worked wonders. My hair was smooth and shiny, took much less time to dry, still had loads of volume and looked 'finished' even after I dried it myself (I'm very lazy with a hairdryer).

It wore off after 4 months so I'm booked into get it done again next week. My hairdresser charges £60 for it and it's worth every penny plus with the new products there's no down time like the older versions where you couldn't wash it for 3 days.
