Curl creme

Can anyone recommend a product to use on wet hair to boost waves? Looking for one you can leave air dry and stop frizz. I've noticed that when I leave my hair to dry naturally, there's a slight wave (but much frizz) so need something to boost the wave. Was thinking that if there is something out there that worked, this would save me loads of time.

Have you considered trying the curly girl method? I used to think my hair was wavy but frizzy, now I have ringlets.

Stop using shampoo and conditioner containing silicone, this coats the hair and stops moisture getting in so your hair gets frizzy and unhealthy.

Once you've washed hair, smooth a little conditioner through the ends, then smooth a curl cream through using praying hands, then scrunch with your hands to encourage your waves / curls to form. Don't brush your hair, just detangle in the shower with your fingers.

Don't dry your hair with a normal towel, it's too drying, instead squish moisture out with an old t shirt or microfiber towel.

My curl cream recommendations are Cantu curl activating cream, Boots pink curl creme, or just using a huge squeeze of hair gel (not wet look or containing silicone).

I use Boots Curl Creme although it can be hard to find on the shelves. I think they hide it deliberately so you will buy more expensive products, it's only about £2.

I keep seeing ads for LUS Brands products for curly hair on Facebook and have been thinking about trying them.
Something like this.

Wouldn't have thought of curly girl method for me but definitely sounds worth trying. How long before you see results? Thanks for replies.

I'm 18 months in now and my hair is still changing and evolving as the damage grows out and I try new things. I looked like a poodle for the first 3 months, but that's my own fault for not deep conditioning! (I didn't know any better!) It's such a relief to not have to straighten my hair every single day.

The healthier your hair, the faster you'll see results, so do lots of deep conditioning treatments (Shea Moisture do some great deep conditioners, or the new Garnier Banana mask). HiFelicia on YouTube is a curly hair genius and her videos really helped me.
