Chemical peel.

Has anyone had one of these, I’ve got a consultation with a dr in a couple of weeks to discuss treatment for pitted acne scarring. There’s a few options available such as Dermapen, sublative and subcision. I’ve seen some good results online from a medium or deep peel. The medium peel is tca and the deep peel is phenol, has anyone had this done for boxcar or rolling acne scars?

The downtime looks brutal, especially for the deep peel!

Deep peels such as the Obagi Blue Peel are fantastic and will most definitely help with a lot of your issues but you are correct; the downtime is lengthy. If you work you will need some time off while it is uncomfortable and dare I say it... Unsightly. The Radiance Peel, also by Obagi is excellent for lighter imperfections and you will need to have the course but there is less downtime as it is less aggressive and you will likely not need time off work. Sorry but I only know about the prescriptions mentioned above so can't comment on others. On the same lines (I promise I don't work for them but do use their system!), once finished if you then commit to their Nu Derm System your face will be completely renewed and look amazing. But it takes work, commitment, some discomfort, and a lifelong love of big hats and factor 50!
