Super padded bikini tops?!

Seriously flat chested - 30C ish. In bras this isn't a problem, I have so many wonderful bras that I can make my boobs look amazing. BUT I CANT FIND A BIKINI TOP THAT DOES THE SAME?!

Have a romantic weekend away with a jacuzzi booked for this weekend with new love interest, and the lack of good swimwear is killing me. Hardly any available in shops due to time of year, have ordered four different ones online, and in all of them my boobs look like fried eggs. I want the most padded bikini known to man - does such a thing exist, and if so, where?!!

When the padding gets wet isn't that really uncomfortable?

Yes I used to get rashes from wet padding and two massive wet patches on any towel wrapped round afterwards was a bit of a giveaway.

ginandgingers92 · 22/01/2020 09:52

I used to have to try to squeeze all the water out of the cups really covertly as I exited the pool, so it wasn't obvious it was full of sponge and not boob 🙈🙈

acatcalledjohn · 22/01/2020 13:18

I think this has everything to do with the op’s own insecurity and tithing to do with society.

I dunno. So many bras now come with a fuck tonne of padding as standard, boob jobs are incredibly popular and mainstream media enhances breasts/cleavage through photoshop.

I agree that the OP suffers from insecurity, but that is often borne out of societal norms, however fucked up they are.

LilyJade · 22/01/2020 13:23

The problem with padded bikini tops is that they dry incredibly slowly.

I recommend going onto the Figleaves site & looking at halterneck underwired non-padded bikini tops in your size.
The halterneck should provide enough uplift!

Squiz81 · 22/01/2020 13:49

"seriously flat chested" are you just seeking attention, because that is the most ridiculous thing I've read on here. Speaking as someone that actually it's flat chested I'm almost finding it offensive.😒

Oly4 · 22/01/2020 15:01

Next do fab swimwear

Branleuse · 22/01/2020 17:39

being that a 30C is the same cup size as a 34A or 36AA, and usually just means someone who has actually measured correctly, Im not sure why anyone is actually offended by someone saying its flat chested.
That was my official size pre-boob job and it was tiny. The woman is only asking for padded bikini recommendations, so not sure what everyones problem is

gypsywater · 22/01/2020 20:07

30C is my size AFTER a boob job! Shock

Squiz81 · 22/01/2020 20:38

@Branleuse my comment wasnt based on the size 30c, it was based on the photo she posted of an ample bosom which she was somehow describing as flat chested.

i think they look fine anyway

Branleuse · 22/01/2020 21:15

god that sounded all wrong. My boobs looked much smaller than those pics at a 30c

Tessaraqt · 22/01/2020 21:18

Jeeez - trust me, I'm flat chested. 34A was the size M&S measured me at before I had Mumsnet intervention.

The amount of padding in that bra to make "ample bosom" is insane. Even the bikini is padded, but not as much as I'd like. It's figleaves, and the best I had found, but I wanted one as good as a bra. Will try some of the recommendations up thread but it does seem like stock is so low in shops because it's a funny time of year.

Love interest has seen me naked, and I don't care about my boobs during sex, we're both busy enough enjoying ourselves I don't feel he's critiquing my body. But in a spa and lounging round a pool next to a load of beautiful strangers is a different matter, and requires some serious bikini infrastructure.

Padded bikinis are great until you get them wet. Then they are like tennis bags in knee high socks.
Embrace what you’ve got.
I’m 28b. I go topless (most men have more boobs) or wear a bikini top that shows off my figure. Sea folly do gorgeous swimwear.

Squiz81 · 22/01/2020 21:40

@Tessaraqt I'm not trying to make this into a competition about who has the smallest boobs, I promise!! But honestly with all the padding possible I couldn't achieve the cleavage you've got in picture 1. I don't think you need to worry about getting a really padded bikini, they look great in the halter neck bikini. Too much padding retains water and is a pain in a bikini.

Sorry if I came across as touchy, I've always been insecure about my lack of boobs so I hate it when people that actually have great boobs claim theirs are small. I guess it's just all body dysmorphia.

Keepmewarm · 22/01/2020 21:41

Just saw the pics. 2nd pic looks good.

Rachelfromfriends1 · 23/01/2020 09:52

I wouldn’t feel comfortable walking around looking like photo 1 because in my opinion, it’s blatant that you’re wearing a padded bra. The bra sits really low, you have no fullness at the top, they just look squashed together vs how naturally bigger boobs would fill the bra. It probably looks okay with a top over it but as it is, your boobs just look long.

Surely it’s more embarrassing to be instantly clocked wearing padding vs walking around like photo 2?

If you’re that desperate for padding, buy silicone pads/fillers at least, they won’t get damp. They'll be interchangeable with all your tops so you have more options to work with. Perhaps play around with smartly applied fake tan or makeup to bring out the contours of your cleavage more, then shimmery body lotion could be used to highlight.

JaceLancs · 23/01/2020 11:07

I would try next

Thinkle · 23/01/2020 18:33

Hey OP I believe you, I was first measured 36A in M&S and then finally 32C in Selfridges. I feel small busted and feel out of balance with my tum and hips and recognise what you are saying about what makes you feel more confident. There is more to ones boob appearance than absolute cup size!
I have a lovely seafolly padded halter from a couple years ago but more generally I use figleaves for out of season swimwear.

And yes I choose to squeeze the water out a bit when exiting the pool but it’s a quick arm cross that’s all.
Good luck with the new man x

Ann summers did an amazing one
