I'm so embarrassed about this. When I get stressed I bite my nails. And I don't mean a quick nibble I mean down to my elbows!!

It's such a disgusting habit but I can't seem to overcome it. So I'm starting this thread in the hope of maybe finding other people and also an accountability. Am going to post pictures of how awful my nails look in the hope of shocking myself into action. Anyone care to join me?

Day 10 update picture. I have tried so hard not to bite but I was distracted and bit by thumb and little fingernails on that hand Sad going to keep trying though as I can already see an improvement Smile hope everyone else is getting on okay too!

I used to be a prolific nail picker, disgusting habit that involved picking at any loose but of skin at all. My fingers were sore and a mess. What worked for me was getting acrylic nails. Not the solution for everyone but I can't pick my skin anymore and my nails do look good.

Also stopped me sucking my thumb after more than 40 years so all in all, worth the money for me.

Forgot to check in yesterday, but look...actual white bits at the end of my nails. Still having trouble with cuticles and hangnails but nails remain unbitten.

Another Friday check in for anyone who's still with me! Cuticles still need some work but look! I actually have nails I'm not completely ashamed by!
