Keen to find a new bag that is big enough for work and will accommodate a small laptop (MacBook).
I have a standard Bayswater already but was after the larger sized zipped Bayswater. I spent a long time researching this and haven't been able to find one anywhere- the factory tell me they have discontinued this and only now do small, mini and micro sizes.

So- can anyone recommend a good alternative?
Budget up to £1500. Thank you.

Prada Galleria is the go to designer workbag that can easily carry a laptop and not give up the ghost. The one with the divider in the middle is extra useful for organising. Not sure how much it goes for in pounds so may be just in budget or slightly over.

If you're open to secondhand it's worth keeping an eye out at Naughtipidgins Nest, she always has a lot of Mulberry stock and the Prada Galleria bags pop up on there occasionally too.

I love Sage Brown. They are not as high end as Mulberry in terms of the ‘name’ but the quality is excellent. I see them as being like Mulberry when they first started out.

You could buy more than one with your budget Smile

Agree about the Prada Galleria, i have one and my small mac fits in perfectly with plenty of spare room.

Just jumping on to say thanks for the link to Sage Brown nettie434. I've been looking for a new purse without success (I'm really picky) but a couple of their designs look like they will fit the bill. I am purposely not looking at handbags.....!

OMG, have just looked at where their stores are - there is one just up the road from where I work in London. How have I not discovered this before ??

I have an Italian handmade tote from Mirta.com. Quality is excellent.

Oh good MinesaPinot. Happy choosing!

Damn it @nettie434 I like lots of those! Choices, choices.

I have the larger sized Givenchy Antigona and this fits my MacBook perfectly. Also the thick strap makes it comfortable to carry on the shoulder...

HarrietBasset · 17/01/2020 17:09

I use my bayswater for my macbook pro. Also my LV neverfull though obviously no zip/fastening

GeorgianaD · 17/01/2020 18:42

Givenchy, Aspinal, Mulberry, Chloe are all good options. Bag aficionado here Wink

MrOnionsBumperRoller · 17/01/2020 20:04

Gah. Nothing useful to add except as a Mulburry collector/obsessive I envy your current position!

GivenchyDahhling · 17/01/2020 20:20

The Antigona is a good choice (I have three, two medium and one small!) but it is quite heavy even without a computer in it so if that’s a consideration might be worth looking at something lighter. I don’t think any of Mulberry’s current totes are really classics - but I have the old style Bayswater tote (pic attached) which is incredibly durable and a good size so if you can get hold of that second hand it would be a good choice.

Chloe have a new season tote that looks good (but won’t be a classic), Saint Laurent have a very lightweight one that is super durable considering how thin the straps look and has been around for a few years now. Pics of both attached... and they have the added bonus of being well under budget so you could get both and alternate!
