I’m going away in 2 weeks. Is it too late to use footner? I’ve never used it before

I think it’s just the right time, one week for all the skin to peel and one week for it to look ok again

Polkadotties · 12/01/2020 13:40

Excellent. Thank you! Smile

Should be ok. Takes a week to begin peeling then a week till it’s all done. You can speed it up by soaking your feet every day.

Housewife2010 · 12/01/2020 14:54

Do it now. Have daily baths to hurry it along. I rub my feet with a flannel in the bath to speed it up.

Or don't bother and use the miracle working flexitol foot balm. Your feet will start to look better in 24h.

kittykatkitty · 12/01/2020 23:22

Just get Newton sponges

TanselleTooTall · 12/01/2020 23:34

Whatever you do OP, DON'T put it on and then accidentally fall asleep! I still laugh at the poster who did this - she came on to ask advice as to wether we reckon her feet will fall off. Someone replied that they picture her with tiny little regenerating deadpool feet. Looool!

Should be okay.

I suggest soaking your feet (and drying thoroughly) before you use the Footner.

Once you feel the skin getting really dry - usually about day 3 or 4 then make sure you let your feet get wet. I tend to put the plug in the bath when I have a shower. It's just enough to start the peeling.

Thisenglishlife · 13/01/2020 18:23

Just use coconut oil, Vaseline, Felixtol (or other urea based cream) or Heel Chemistry every night. Put on a pair of moisturing socks on after (as sold in The Body Shop, Boots or similar).

NikeDeLaSwoosh · 13/01/2020 19:27

You should be OK with the peeling, but if you're going somewhere hot, be aware that your feet will be super sensitive to the sun so you will need uber sunblock.

Owlish · 13/01/2020 19:37

I tried a (much) cheaper version from Bodycare. It took three weeks to begin peeling, thought nothing was going to happen, but then it did. Holy fuck did it peel! It took almost two months to stop peeling!

Just a little anecdote, there, OP Grin

Lighteninginabottle27 · 13/01/2020 20:13

Owlish I totally know what you mean. Only rather than nothing happening my feet felt dry and odd for ages then the peel came and it went on for forever.

I highly recommend Newton sponges and daily flexitol balm with thin cotton socks afterwards for bed.

I’ve got a foot file that looks like a cheese grater - no prissy sandpaper file here, it’s metal and hardcore! It was recommended on here and I got it from Amazon. Takes minutes and removes all the hard skin.
