Facial oil recommendations

I currently use Balance Me Rose Otto oil which I love, and have also used Clarins Blue Orchid which I also liked.

Just wondering if any new oils are out there that might be worth a try? I'm happy enough with the Balance Me one but used it for a bit and things may well have moved on.

TIA

'I've been using the Ordinary Borage oil, which is great, feels quite light'

Been using this too, since one of their lovely team recommended it for my dry dehydrated skin and nails. Very good price, around a fiver, and feels really nourishing. Lady in the shop said that some people hate the smell, I dont think it smells of very much at all

I don't think so 70isaLimit it smells the same as the lotus oil but it's not as heavily scented

Nuxe micellar oil - lovely - and The Ordinary squalene (sp?) cleanser less often. Get the Nuxe when Essentuals have a French pharmacy sale (like at the mo - 30% off) and The Ordinary directly from Deciem.

The Nuxe melts any leftover makeup after a first cleanse and doesn't irritate my eyes.

Thanks everyone, lots to go away and look at. I've still half a bottle of the Balance Me one left but I get a bit impatient!!

For the pp who asked, I used my oil on bare skin in the morning, and then use a moisturiser on top (currently origins gin-zing which smell amazing and absorbs beautifully). My skin stays moisturised all day and I find it's a fab base for my cc cream. I am v late 40s with 'normal' skin.

I was just looking up advice on skin care routine order, and Cosmo (not necessarily the final word on skin care!) says that facial oil comes last to 'seal in' everything.

Oh that Cosmopolitan article is way too complex for my needs !
So many products .

There was an article I read years ago where a leading Dermatologist (UK) stated that most skin problems were actually due to overuse and over layering.

I usually prefer to pick from different ranges to suit what I need but he said (and he wasn't promoting a particular brand) that products from the same brand/range are designed to work together . Makes sense , but could also be a clever marketing ploy .
Paring down to a good cleanser and moisturiser was all that was needed with the addition of sunscreen.

Last year , I spent 2 weeks in hospital (emergency) had 2 lots of surgery and was on medication via a drip.
I think I managed to shower once in the first week ( I know , gross) then every day in the last 4 days . My hair and skin care was minimal.

But , my skin did not look bad . I wasn't glowing but I didn't look as rough as I thought I would .
So maybe Scientific Neglect (on my skin, worked)

On the back of this thread , I bought the Revoloution Night Serum and applied it last night . My skin feels nice , dewey .
Hoping it will improve my neck, central heating and cold is taking its toll.

True it's complex.

My point was that Cosmo said facial oil should be applied last, in response to what OP said just before my post.

It depends if your moisturiser is a wster-in-oil or an oil-in-water moisturiser.
Most moisturisers want a facial oil on top but if you're using something like good old Nivea blue pot, you're better off with your oil underneath

I use Lumity Facial Oil and it does wonders for my dry, flaky skin.

A lady on QVC said in Europe (Not UK) they put face oil on last to seal in everything. Not sure how it works with make up?

Judith Williams, that was her name. I have tried some of her products. Very nice.
