Teeth whitening

Hi I had my teeth whitened a couple of years ago, using the trays. It worked brilliantly but the results have now worn off. Does anyone know where I can buy the refill gel syringes?

It seems like you have to be registered with a dentist to buy from them - but I’ve since moved so can’t go back to my old one and my current dentist doesn’t do it.
I’ve come across the uk teeth whitening website which has them but not sure if it’s kosher!
Aargh, seems so complicated for a seemingly simple thing!!

These products aren’t supposed to be sold to non-professionals so I wouldn’t trust that website.

Just buy from another dental practice that stocks the product. As this is a private cosmetic treatment, I can’t see why a dental practice that does stock it would refuse to sell it to you just because you aren’t registered as a patient with them. Otherwise just register, you can be a patient at 2 dental practices at the same time (unlike GPs) it won’t affect anything at your current dentist as your records will be separate.

You’re just looking for dentists that offer at home whitening treatments, as you have your own trays this should bring the costs down so hopefully they may just give you the refill price

Thanks Rachelfrom. I’ve tried a couple of dentists but no luck - you need to be registered and have a check up with them before they’ll sell the refills. Most annoying as the whole point of having the trays in the first place is so you can reuse them Confused I think it’s because the products have to be sold through a registered provider if they contain over a certain amount of bleach.

Has anyone used the ukteethwhitening website? Trustpilot is showing 1200 or so goodish reviews...

Can you move dentists to one that does as this is going to be an ongoing problem?
I would be very wary of buying something of the internet, if the enamel on your teeth gets damaged that's a lot of time and money in the dentists chair to 'fix' it

I’d move dentists, don’t risk your teeth. I’m surprised their not doing it though because of how much revenue it must bring in.
