I have fine, thick hair, shoulder length hair. It’s just so dry and I need a good treatment to help it be less frizzy. Any recommendations?

My recommendation would be put a load of Moroccan oil on at night and then wash the next morning.

I also have fine but lots of hair. It can't handle product at all. I also use silicone free shampoo which helps.

True- I find typical moisturising products really weigh my hair down. I’ll try the oil route, thanks Smile

I bleach my hair, so obviously gets pretty dry. My hairdresser told me to use a hair mask as conditioner - has made a huge difference

Livingoffcoffee · 01/01/2020 20:27

Should have said I also have really fine hair. But using it as a conditioner (so not leaving it in a long time, but every time I was my hair) seems to keep it from going too heavy

Elasticizer. Expensive but worth it

Hollylolly28 · 01/01/2020 20:28

The garnier blends ones are pretty good and cheap

This is gorgeous. It's basically a copy of the very expensive Coco and Eve one.

Karmatime · 01/01/2020 20:42

The Beauty Pie one is really good, leaves gait glossy without weighing it down.

Hair!

OGX is apparently amazing. You can get it on amazon for About a tenner.

According to my hairdresser and others in the trade you should only leave a mask on for ten minutes or so. Leaving over night actually does the reverse and dries out your hair. Something about it put the moisture in and then pulls it out.

FuckingHateRats · 01/01/2020 21:06

I have fairly dry, curly hair but I really rate Garnier hair food, and Shea Moisture leave in conditioner, the castor oil one.

BigButtons · 01/01/2020 22:33

Thanks for the tips everyone. I will investigate!Smile

Another vote for elasticizer, it smooths my frizz right down.

BigButtons · 02/01/2020 09:52

I found that elasticizer worked really well initially then stopped. Beyond my budget too 🙁

Try the Shea moisture superfruit complex 10 in 1 hair masque. I ordered it from superdrug and it is amazing. I use it once a week, and the last time I went to the hair dresser she was raving about how healthy and shiny my hair is. I think it's about £10 for a big tub.

Chochito · 03/01/2020 18:51

I like the L'Oréal miracle one (sort of a goldish colour, comes in a pot of about 250ml).

BendyBusBuggy · 03/01/2020 18:54

If you're on a budget you could try melting a couple of table spoons of coconut oil in the microwave, putting that on your hair. - wrap a towel around it, leave for half an hour and then wash
