Tear trough filler

Any good reviews on tear trough fillers. I have an awful under eye area . I have already tried plasma pen with no results, so looking now at tear trough filler. No amount of concealing or drinking water works. So I’m just wondering if anyone has good stories and pics of successful before and after results.

I am full of Botox and filler and I would not go near tear trough filler if you paid me, too many risks and I would basically do anything surgical/non surgical. I have my aesthetics done with a doctor and she doesn’t even offer it, she said she couldn’t live with herself if a patient went blind!
What has helped my tear troughs considerably is volume filler in the apple of my cheeks. It really does make a lot of difference without any work being done in the eye area.

I had it done in June. I can't see any improvement myself, although my partner says he can. I wouldn't have it done again as I had high hopes for results that I cannot see.

Ah thanks for your replies, doesn’t sound promising then so far 😔

Mine look worse when im overweight. My apples get bigger so the contrast becomes so obvious. If you are overweight lose and reassess?

I’ve worked on research into this and the overwhelming response from clinicians is not to touch it with a barge pole.

lovedogsandcake · 31/12/2019 15:56

I've been considering this procedure for months but have decided against it due to the very slight risk of blindness caused by injection into blood vessels close to the eye. I'm hoping that with lifestyle changes and fake tan I can make the best of myself without them and mine are terrible (look particularly bad in photos). Let us know if you do go ahead though, where abouts are you looking for a practitioner?

misscockerspaniel · 31/12/2019 17:28

I am pro plastic surgery Wink but wouldn't touch tear trough fillers for the reasons given above. Also, I watched an episode of Botched featuring a model who had disastrous cosmetic results from the procedure.

I find that Eucerin Anti Ageing Hyaluron Filler Eye Treatment (from Boots) works well, as a temporary fix.

PammieDooveOrangeJoof · 31/12/2019 17:31

I was considering having the this until I gave up drinking for a month and lost weight and my face lost its puffiness making the contrast less. The hollows looked so much less pronounced.

JeffJarrett · 31/12/2019 17:55

I've been having it for about 3 years now. It makes a massive difference and it's the one treatment I will always go back for (that and Botox).

Just do your research, make sure the person is very well qualified and reputable.

I thought it was rubbish. Barely any effect for a lot of money. Plus it was uncomfortable and I bruised a lot.

80sstyle · 31/12/2019 18:06

I have also had filler in my cheeks by three different practitioners and again, all rubbish/no effect apart from on the first day it was done.

lovedogsandcake · 08/01/2020 20:47

@JeffJarrett I'm still looking into this procedure. Did they inject the filler with a Canula or needle? I don't suppose you had a clinician in London? My eye bags are dreadful.

JeffJarrett · 08/01/2020 21:43

@lovedogsandcake definitely cannula, had it with a needle once and it didn't sit right.

I'm in the North West too, sorry!

yesbutnobut · 08/01/2020 22:11

@lovedogsandcake I have this procedure done at Cosmetic Skin Clinic in London (Tracy Mountford's clinic). I recommend them.

orangeloo · 09/01/2020 07:44

@lovedogandcake the consultant clinic in London are amazing or dermis clinic. Cannula only, don't go anywhere that does this with a needle.

I had this done on Saturday so they are still settling in.

lovedogsandcake · 09/01/2020 09:57

Great thanks, will research both.

lovedogsandcake · 09/01/2020 09:59

And thanks for confirming canula, definitely seems the best way.

yesbutnobut · 09/01/2020 21:07

yes to canula at Cosmetic Skin Clinic as well.
