Does anyone own a Janelle sea salt coat? I know they are waterproof but Are they really warm for the winter? Thanks

I have one and I love it! It's super cosy - the length means that you are kept really warm. (I'm 5'10" and have the longer length). The hood is fleece lined and the back is quilted which is lovely. Only downside is that if you have the sleeves turned up (like in the pics on the website to see the contrast lining) the lining isn't waterproof and you get wet arms.

I love mine, it’s warm and so far has been waterproof, it’s on its third winter.

Definitely waterproof and pretty warm. Not as warm as a puffa type coat but I wear mine for dog walking all through winter and stay toasty.

Best coat I’ve ever had.

I have one which is about 5 yrs old. All the zips broke within 3 yrs of fairly light usage. Contacted customer services who couldn’t give a toss, said it was usual wear and tear. It isn’t because it’s such a warm coat you only wear it in v cold wet weather - or I did anyway. Will not be buying another which is a shame.

I have had one for three years now. I seem to be alone but it isn't warm enough for me in winter. It is excellent for being waterproof though. I tend to wear mine March through to November then swap to a down filled coat over winter.

I've had one about 5 years. It's warm, but seems to get less warm over time (I've washed it a few times). Can recommend the £12 bodywarmer from Primark which fits perfectly underneath :)

It's warm, but not that warm.

TBF, I'm comparing it to a North Face down coat that I sadly got too fat for. The NF coat was properly warm in that even on the coldest day you only needed a thin jumper underneath (but if you ended up wearing it on the tube you felt like you were going to die of heatstroke). The Janelle is fine for 90% of cold British days (at least in the south) so long as you wear a wooly jumper or fleece underneath. You also don't feel like you're going to spontaneously combust as soon as you walk in to a warm cafe or whatever.
