Okay so tragically I now seem to be allergic to all eyelash extensions, even sensitive ones. Gummy eyes in the morning not the look I want. I've heard LVL is nice but nowhere near the impact.

Every mascara I try from £4 to £40 leaves marks under my eyes.

So... what else should I consider? I've never used false lashes in my life, but have seen the ads for the magnetic ones that clip together; and the ones with magnetic eyeliner that you stick lashes onto.

Or I guess there's the traditional type with glue (sounds terrifying to me).

Is there anything out there that could help me? I'd love an easy but dramatic look for Christmas parties, that lasts.

Hit me with your inspiration please please please Smile

This won’t be any good for Xmas parties but for longer term I’ve been using revitalash since the end of September, that combined with lvl is (almost!) as good as extensions. It took about 8 weeks of using the revitalash to notice a difference but o wouldn’t be without it now.
Many beauty places will apply a set of strip lashes for you, I know the places near me do for around £10 - might be worth looking at if you struggle to apply them yourself? I’ve had this done before for a wedding and they lasted longer than when I try myself!

Is it the glue your allergic to?
Get Hollywood lash extensions and ask the beautician to use the odour free glue which doesn't sting etc. X

Don’t use the glue ones. Girls sometimes turn up to work after wearing them over the weekend with the glue still very obviously there Envy

I would try LVL. Unless you have very short lashes there’s no need for extensions.

i have LVL around every 6/8 weeks it’s £35. I absolutely love it. Ok, it’s not as dramatic as extensions but I love the effect it gives. I tint them myself every two weeks, have always tinted my own lashes.

Thanks all... looks like LVL for now and Revitalift longer term.

Still love to hear from anyone who has tried the magnetic types?

ChristmasSpiritsOnThRocksPleas can you tell me what product you use to tint your own lashes? I’m interested in doing this? Along with my LVL that I have done.

Have you tried tubing mascara? I find that it is the only type of mascara that doesn’t smudge or flake on me.
Clinique lash power, Estee Lauder double wear mascaras and L’Oreal’s double ended in the red and white tube (double extension beauty tubes) are tubing mascaras.

I find individual lashes much easier to apply and far more comfortable than strip lashes.
If you use Duo lash glue, it removes easily with makeup remover and water IME, and you can just clean your lashes so you don’t have residue left.

Revitalash is amazing, but expensive and it takes ages before you’ll notice a difference.

I second revitalash plus LVL, it’s almost as good as extensions on me. Plus it irritates my eyes less and is a lot less upkeep.

I've tried the magnetic ones. They don't look quite as good as strip lashes as you can always see the tiny magnets and it is hard to get them consistently close to the natural lash line along the length. They are ok for parties after dark when nobody is looking too closely!!
