I got a sample of Trilogy Make Up Be Gone cleansing balm and I love it , but it's a bit pricey for me atm.
Can anyone recommend similar but cheaper Smile

I was going to suggest the No.7 one but it's a similar price!

Soontobe60 · 16/12/2019 20:37

I had one from Superdrug that was fab and only cost a couple of quid, but theyve stopped doing it now! I've replaced it with their own brand hot cloth cleanser, which is also good.

Bodyshop camomile cleansing balm.
Boots Botanics Cleansing balm.
M&S Pure Rose Balm.

Cocolapew · 16/12/2019 20:46

I looked in Boots and M and S and couldn't see any Hmm. I do need new glasses though Grin

Waitrose baby bottom butter works great for me

Cocolapew · 16/12/2019 21:18

No Waitrose in NI.Sad
Poking about online and L'Oreal do one, I'll make a list and go and have a good look

This is what the Boots and M&S ones look like.

Clinique one is brilliant
Don’t rate the body shop one at all after seeing it recommended on here it’s very highly fragrances and just doesn’t seem as ‘cleansing’ as others

Shmithecat2 · 17/12/2019 06:35

Yes, TTDO is great, but similar price to the trilogy one the OP posted about. She asked for cheaper alternatives.

Kaz2200 · 17/12/2019 06:47

Have a look at elemis on Qvc the neroli cleansing balm is £51 for 200g.

sparklychristmaslights · 17/12/2019 06:49

I really love the body shop camomile one. Feels so luxurious and you only need a little bit.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 17/12/2019 10:41

Soontobe was that the Optimum one ? I bought it and never saw it again !
IIRC , it was on a 50% off deal. Slightly granular but much thicker than the BodyShop one .

There's Lush UltraBalm too.

Or Emma Hardy in M&S ( £10 for 15g to try then there's a few Special Offers throughout the year )

QVC sell Elemis too, might work out cheaper getting one of their kits ? (Especially if there's an EasyPay)

WonkyDonk87 · 17/12/2019 10:45

Apparently the Primark one isn't too bad, at £3 I might give it a go.

Cocolapew · 17/12/2019 15:41

Thanks everyone 🙂

There are some good Emma Hardie sets in TK Max and online at the moment...

han01uk · 19/12/2019 09:04

Body shop camomile cleansing balm...as good as elemis etc imo

MoreSchnitzelPlease · 20/12/2019 00:04

OP asks for a cheaper alternative and some posters are suggesting £50 cleansing balms. So helpful.

OP I am using the Bodyshop camomile balm and it's working well for me. Superdrug has some great hot cloth cleansers that I really rate.

dudsville · 27/12/2019 21:22

The Ordinary cleansing balm is wonderful. Cheap and wonderful.

LlamaofDrama · 28/12/2019 13:08

I loved a superdrug one that seems to have been discontinued as well, also the optimum one, I think - 4 o'clock flower? Maybe we can get it reinstated if there's enough of us???

TantricTwist · 28/12/2019 22:14

If you have sensitive skin OP I'd go for the Take The Day Off by Clinique

If you don't have sensitive skin then the Camomile cleansing butter Body Shop one will be fine

nanbread · 28/12/2019 23:23

I find the Boots Botanics one quite waxy.

You can just buy some oil and hot cloth cleanse with a few drops of that, maybe add some essential oils - you just need to find a good place that sells carrier oils. Sesame oil is a good one to try (not the toasted kind!!). Or whipped Shea butter.
