The dreaded '11' lines

Other than Botox, does anyone have any miracle fixes for the dreaded lines between the eyebrows? I've managed to get away with it for a while but it's all I can see in photos recently!

Any tips gratefully received Smile

A fringe!

Had this all my life, not just as a getting older thing! Highlighter pencil, draw it down the lines, blend in. You can also use Touché Éclat or anything similar. Doesn’t make them go away but softens their appearance.

I have been considering a fringe but don't think I can be arsed with the extra styling!

Ooh the highlighter tip sounds interesting. Might give it a go today and see if it makes a difference.

I could just drink a bit more water and look after myself a bit more....in January Grin

Using The Ordinary Agireline solution. It’s not a miracle worker by any means, but does lessen them. Especially when used with a chemical peel in your routine.

Failing that it is really only Botox or fillers that is going to get rid.

Thisismyhappyface · 15/12/2019 08:41

No sorry, botox or nothing!

McDougal · 15/12/2019 08:41

I have got Agirilene from the ordinary but was a bit disappointed with it as it really didn't match up with the reviews. I'll give it another go though.

Maybe I should just ask for Botox for Christmas...

Indeed Labs Nano blur is good. Like a poly filler cream.

Botox will soften them but I ended up with different new lines elsewhere on the forehead as I recruited different muscles when I tried to frown and couldn’t. Don’t think this happens to everyone though.

I had them badly thanks to years of squinting due to being short sighted. I wear contact lenses but they mean that I then have to adjust my eyes to see things in front of me. Botox is amazing. I get mine done roughly every 9 months which avoids the frozen face look. I pay around £200 and it really is worth every penny. It takes years off me. Just make sure that you do your research and go somewhere decent.

Drinking water will not help......if only! It's Botox or nothing. It's perfect for the 11s.......works a treat.

McDougal · 15/12/2019 14:16

Oh that doesn't sound good Delatron. To be honest, there are so many scare stories out there about Botox that I'd really want a recommendation rather than leaving my face in the hands of an amateur!

I agree botox would be ideal for this. You are right to avoid amateurs. Ensure your practitioner is a qualified doctor or dentist. Or tell us your area and maybe someone here can recommend someone local to you.

My doctor is an award winning surgeon. So must have been my face! So reluctant to have it again.

Facial smoothies, £14.99 from Amazon! They are self adhesive clear triangular patches and I wear one every night and whenever I'm at home really as you can only notice them up close.
Basically stops you frowning, but you can still frown when you take them off, for this reason I prefer them to botox.
Slap on the ordinary 1% retinol in squalene too and it basically gets rid of the 11s in about three months.
I will never get botox ever again.
