Ok I'm confused.... is this like a babyliss big hair except £££ with more bits? Or does it do something differently?

Can anyone with curly/bush hair comment on whether either of these things have enough grunt to compare to the old straightener/curler combo?

I tried one at boots yesterday, loved it great loose curls in seconds and so so light BUT there’s no way I’ll ever afford one unfortunately.

watch some of the youtube reviews of it. They're dreadful. They basically say that the curls don't hold well.

it is a mental price!! I'm tempted/curious by their 35 day money back dealio.

that's interesting and a good idea, thank you!

I have one and use it every day. The attachements are great and easy to use. I find the curls stay in all day as long as you do them from wet!

MerryDeath · 14/12/2019 22:51

what kind of hair do you have @SorrelForbes ??

I have long hair that has a natural wave but needs styling to look groomed. It's prone to fizz too!

I got one recently as a surprise gift but would never have bought it for myself.

Nadine Baggott does a good review on it. You might want to check out another review though from somebody with hair similar to yours. I have straight hair so can’t comment on whether it’s worth it if you have curls. The main selling point are the air wrap curlers - not sure if you’d use those if you have curly hair? There is also a big curling brush similar to the BBH and then a couple of smoothing brushes. I think there’s also a set with a diffuser for curly hair.

Sorry, not sure if I’ve been much help!

It is MASSIVELY overpriced. If you are concerned about reducing heat on your hair, either let it dry naturally then use a hotbrush, or do what women have for years and sleep in pin curls or rags.

I got one last year and initially loved it but it took AGES to do the curls and it takes a while to get the hang of how to do it. The curls don’t last that long, in comparison I have a Babyliss Curl Secret and I’d get three days out of that but with the Dyson I’d get the day I did them at best. No way I could do it the night before and it still look OK the day after.

My hair is now short and I use the brush attachment for volume but in all honesty I wish I’d just got the dryer on it’s own.
