Beauty tools - winners and losers

I bought GHD Glide recently and was massively disappointed. Hair went really static, couldn't get shape right at all, plus the reliance on heat protection spray made my hair look all greasy.

It's made me appreciate my best ever hair buy - babylis big hair, which does a good job of smoothing and giving volume. Yay!

Also I got a jml hair remover thing for my constantly sprouting chin. I was plucking before, now I just run this thing over chin every morning and it's done. Cant remember name of the tool, smoother or something.

I usually get vouchers at xmas, o can you tell me your beauty/hair tool faves and the ones to avoid?

Ah, I came on to say the Babyliss big hair, but you've already said it.
I actually prefer it to a professional blow-dry. Easy peasy and does the most amazing job Xmas Smile

Its sooo good isn't it?

I got a babylis curl secret and it really doesn't work for me. Might be my fault as hair is maybe too short and I dont really suit curls. I had high hopes but it's not the tool for me!

Phillips Lumea has been a life changer for me. I genuinely love it. I can go about 3 weeks without shaving my legs now, before it was a daily occurence.

I have a Babylis Big Hair but can't seem to get on with it. It just tangles my hair up and I get horrible knots, last time I tried I actually ended up putting some of my hair out at the roots and I'm scared to try it again. Lovers of Babylis BH do you have any tips, where am I going wrong?

BedraggledBlitz · 14/12/2019 21:06

@Stormy I rough dry with hairdryer, brush through, if I can be bothered I section starting from underneath, then start under root and move brush down whilst it spins. Maybe you need to move brush faster? My hair is quite fine and shoulder length so it could be that it struggles with thicker and longer hair?

I do exactly that too. And I have shoulder length fine hair.

@StormyLovesOdd Watch a YouTube video tutorial. That's how I got the hang of mine

StormyLovesOdd · 14/12/2019 21:18

Thanks, I'll try again. I have very fine flat hair and was hoping it would help give me more body. What products do you use? I usually use mouse

BedraggledBlitz · 14/12/2019 21:21

I've given up styling products cos my fine hair just gets weighed down. So I shampoo and condition with silicone free and paraben free products, then couple drops of coconut oil through damp hair.
