What to wear with blush satin skirt

Midi length. Gift from DH so want to wear it. Was thinking fine knit jumper and boots. But what kind? Turtle neck? Ribbed? It's so grim out I don't actually want to leave the house! But it might be nice to swish about in a skirt and boots and feel a tiny bit better than staying in , wearing joggers 😂

Pale grey cashmere would be lovely with it

Villagegreenpreservation · 14/12/2019 12:44

Ooh yes. Cashmere may be out of budget but m and s lookalike might work

Chunky roll neck in grey, cream, brown, beige, burgundy or any toning colour for day; something sparkly for evening would be my vote. Sounds lovely!

SmellMySmellbow · 14/12/2019 14:03

Fairly chunky or loose black cropped knit (no longer than waist length) with black leather boots.

Villagegreenpreservation · 14/12/2019 14:05

Would navy sparkly knit work?

Navy would kill it. As above, cream, white, pale grey, or burgundy.

Ponks · 14/12/2019 15:21

Black turtle neck would be great

CountFosco · 14/12/2019 16:10

Navy wouldn't kill it, pink and navy are fine together, if you already have the blue sparkly knit then try it and see if you like it. Slouchy grey cashmere is my preference, and agree paler colours are probably the best. TBH I'm not that fond of blush and black together, it feels too contrasty and slightly dated.

KondoKonvert · 14/12/2019 16:59

Mint velvet has a lovely oyster-coloured blouse that is lovely with pink.

KondoKonvert · 14/12/2019 16:59

Or a fine knit leopard print sweater?

SmellMySmellbow · 14/12/2019 17:13

See I wouldn't put a pale colour with it. A pale pink satin skirt with a pale top will look to cutesy and pastel-y. Not enough contrast. You might as well add diamante or pearl accessories. I would toughen it up a bit myself with black or navy, or a dark grey possibly.

dudsville · 14/12/2019 21:24

I'd suggest something less tonal and matchy, more out there, leopard print!

Bluesheep8 · 15/12/2019 07:24

Charcoal grey very soft slouchy jumper and a biker jacket. Plain black flat ankle boots.

dudsville · 15/12/2019 07:27

My 2nd vote would be lemon yellow or burnt orange coloured tops.

ItMustBeBedtimeSurely · 15/12/2019 07:28

I would add a bit of contrast by wearing a chunky jumper and black tights. As others have said, pale and delicate would be too much with blush satin.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/12/2019 09:30

I still stand by pale grey cashmere - I don't think it would look delicate or wishy washy, but it would depend on colouring. I've got a dusty pink biker jacket, and would probably wear that over the jumper, with tan suede boots.

Villagegreenpreservation · 15/12/2019 18:17

Anyone seem lovely charcoal or grey jumpers? They’re what I fancy now. Black might be too much contrast for me maybe unless you’ve seen something fabulous
Around £30-50?

I’ve got a blush satin skirt (M&S)

I found it hard to find a top which looked right with it, as some tops made it look too dressy for me. But bought a chunky cream coloured jumper from New Look which looks great with it, and I wear it with ankle boots or trainers.

Villagegreenpreservation · 16/12/2019 14:02

Noe cream might be lovely for day. Is the jumper current?

raisinseverywhere · 16/12/2019 14:24

It’s called Off white crew neck jumper £19.99 reduced to £14.99. Need to size down.
Lots of other similar jumpers on website too.

Thanks!
