Breathable jacket (dog walking)

Hi all,
Help- I'm not sure if I'm peri-menopausal or just sweaty, but despite an outside temperature of 7 degrees I'm constantly too hot and sweaty under my coat when dog walking. I've switched from my Barbour outlaw winter jacket to my lighter wax jacket but am still too hot (sweaty).

Can anyone please recommend a brand for breathable waterproofs? I will take practicality over style as it's really only for my hour long morning dog walks.
I'm fine at home but any walking pace results in me arriving a damp mess which is particularly unpleasant. TIA

I wear a musto waterproof breathable jacket for dog walking. Brilliant for rain and wind. I always check the temperature before I go. If it is over 5 degrees I just wear a thin t shirt. If below I wear another layer. I think I've just about got the sweatiness sorted. The jackets are expensive but very good quality. I've had mine for 3 years and it is still in good condition

Interesting pp said Musto (sailing based brand) because I was going to say take a look at sailing jackets on decathlon, I have the grey one with the orange hood. You can layer up or not underneath, it's really waterproof but light, and I would say breathable (and I am menopausal).

Also when dd got a waterproof coat for d of e from go outdoors she was delighted to find that it has a mini zip under each armpit Grin so maybe you could look for coats with various airing options?
