Have seen lots of people post about the ordinary skin care range
I've looked online but I'm overwhelmed

I've used wetwipes (gasp) forever
But at 28 with two little kids I look HAGGERED
Uneven skin
Just generally abit shit
So to people who have lovely skin
How?
I need a really basic guide as I've literally never had any sort of regime but the time has come...

So any advice on what products? How often? What time of day?
Help a girl out??

I'd recommend emailing them and they will suggest a routine. The responded to me within about 48 hours.

When you purchase products, introduce one new product at a time to see if it suits your skin.

Yup. Get a regimen from them.
You need to decide what the skin issues are that you are most concerned about. Is it just anti-aging? Or are there issues.

For me, my skin is very red and also the texture looked bumpy. I'm 30 so I was concerned about general aging, but my regimen was designed to treat extreme pigmentation and texture problems. Been using it for a year and the difference is immense.

Also remember to get a facial sunscreen and use it everyday for the rest of your life!

It depends what you skin concern is? If it’s oily/acne prone then niacinamide is a good start as is an acid toner

If you just want your skin to look fresher and want anti ageing products then vitamin c and a retinol is a good start although you will need to start with weaker strengths as it will wreck your skin if you go high strength and you’re not used to it

Hi

I'm 29 with a baby who hates sleeping so similar boaf! I can tell you what I use but as PP said, maybe get advice?

I take make up on with Rituals cleansing balm. I try to do this when I get in so I'm make up free for as long as possible.

Before bed I use The Ordinary rose hip oil as I have dry prone skin do like to use lots of moisturising products.

In the morning I use This Works Vitamin C mask - it's a bit grainy so works as exfoliator then I put suncream on and I use Mac strobe cream as a Base under foundation to make me look glowy.

I am absolutely shattered 90% of the time and no one ever says I look tired which I'm amazed at.... I think it's the regime 😂😂😂

Boaf = boat 🙄

Agree with emailing them. Also, their Serum foundation is excellent. Very light and makes your skin look amazing.

Ooh thanks for the advice!
Will deffo send them an email

My issue is... well I'm not sure
I've had two babies who have never slept a full night and life has whizzed by so when I look in the mirror I just see a tired haggered face! Foundation used to go on well now it's hard to hide the imperfections
I would love to have more of a glow
I feel it's time to spend money on a decent foundation aswell as I just use a cheap one

And I am noticing very faint wrinkles starting so I guess prevention with sunscreen for them is a good idea!

I hate using oils is it possible to have good skin without using them?
Serems and creams are ok but I just hate the feeling of oils on my face!

Also I think I've just ignored myself in every way since having the kids
Now the youngest is 18 months I'm just starting to feel abit like me again
But then I look in the mirror and I'm like what the hell has happened
I want to make an effort again and feel good so think I need to start with the basics

Thanks for the tips
Have sent them an email! X

Have a look through the online guide. It's a lot of info and a bit confusing but gives you an idea. And if they suggest a product you dont like then you can substitute. Just pay attention to the conflicts so dont use any products with conflict with each other at the same time and watch for morning and night use.

I dont like oils on my skin either, so for overnight moisturising I've tried loads and found the most amazing balm. It's called Bee Balm by songbird naturals and it's so good. It's very simple, so not unnecessary crap and has natural antibacterial and anti-inflammatory ingredients (propolis). Its good for protecting against pollution for puffiness. I just love it.
It feels a bit heavy going on but soaks in quick and I've never had a moisturiser make such a difference. Use at night after the other products.
