Where to buy gold earrings that will last a long time, but are not £££’s

I have no idea where to start or how much I should pay. Obviously I don’t mind paying a bit more for something good, but I don’t want to pay over the odds just for the sake of it IYSWIM.

Any recommendations, online or otherwise, would be good.

I like Kate Spade earrings. There are some that are a bit Hmm but also some beautiful classic ones. Also marketplaces like Etsy & NOTHS.

Gold will last forever, if it's proper gold. I have some stud earrings I was given when I was 8 that are still perfect. They don't need to be branded, just good quality high carat gold.

The main thing for me when buying gold earrings is the safety back clasp so I don't lose them!

Etsy is good for choice, if you like handmade stuff (I prefer it). Prices vary wildly though - I would look at the individual sellers' blogs etc to make sure they are genuine handmade, you can get some really beautiful and unique jewellery that you don't see anywhere else.

And if you can't afford solid gold you can get rolled-gold, which is better than gold-plated. You get more gold for your money and it lasts longer.

Thank you, I'll have a browse. I haven't bought from Etsy before.

Brighton is just within reach for a day trip, an excuse to go is welcome (I don't normally go in winter but I think I'll wrap up warm and have a visit).

Try Hatton Gardens or the Asian jewellery shops near you. You'll get proper gold at decent prices.

I second The Lanes in Brighton.

Online I would recommend Blue Nile.
