Yes I've had it. I really didn't like it. For the first few days after you have nasty great lumps on your face, then overall looked fine, but prefer fillers for the cost and the effect.

princessTiasmum · 08/12/2019 17:07

Thanks for your reply,it isn't for myself i'm asking, but i seem to remember there wasn't much enthusiasm

I don't think it lasts very long, about 5-6 moths, i think for the cost it seems poor value for moneyI would prefer fillers if i had to choose

I love it - I have dry & crepey skin (eczema) and it plumps it up & looks glowy. Subtle but pleasing.

LHReturns · 08/12/2019 22:07

After the second treatment (you must have two, one month apart) the dewy, plumping effect on the skin is fantastic. In my experience and all my friends who have also done it. I am 42.

My daughter is having it on her neck, have you had iot on neck also. i would try it on my neck if it would work, but mine is more a turkey neck,, i'm old,and face is ok, but neck lets me down

I've had it. Made absolutely no difference whatsoever. Hurt like buggery and the lumps took at least 5 days to disappear.

princessTiasmum · 09/12/2019 23:35

Well my daughter has sent me photos, and its very lumpy
She had lip a couple of years ago, but the result wasn't good,it looked worse than it did originally so shes hoping profhilo will smooth it out
I dont think she should have had it so close to Christmas in case it doesn't look right

OP posts:
princessTiasmum · 09/12/2019 23:36

lipo lol

BlackSwan · 11/12/2019 21:22

Which area did she have done? Surely not lipo on her face? (sorry if ignorant question!) The lumps will definitely be gone by Christmas - give it 5-7 days.

BlackSwan · 11/12/2019 21:23

Oh her neck... sorry, read that now. I hope it works out for her. Let us know...

princessTiasmum · 13/12/2019 23:00

No lipo on her chin, she had a double chin and hated it, but it left her neck looking kind of crinkly and not smooth
She still had lumps today but gone down a lot, she's just wearing a polo neck jumper for now
Personally i think it is a lot of money if it only lasts 5-6 months

There was a long thread in this early this year and I recall the general consensus wasn’t very positive.

shadyzadie · 14/12/2019 19:35

I've been having it for over a year, (treatments 1 and 2 a month apart, then a single top up every 6 months. I'm 44 and (pre-profhilo) people would say I look younger than that, not many wrinkles and have 'good skin'. Not a boast, as it's relevant!

I really love it. It makes my skin look plumper and more luminous and it definitely gives everything a subtle lift (as it also increases collagen production), which is what I was primarily after. However it's very marmite on here. I think that's really down to your expectations. It's not going to get rid of wrinkles (it's not Botox) and it's not going to lift like a facelift would either. It's subtle, so if you ultimately need something more invasive to see a real difference, then it might not be for you.

I find the injection sites are noticeable for a day (they look like bee stings). I see a dentist who also does aesthetics. Probably sounds daft, but I figure that dentists do gum injections every day, so they're pretty well practised with a needle! Also, too deep or to shallow stops the profhilo working as effectively, so you need someone who understands the skin's structure.

Dentists are the best as they have to know every nerve in your face, and know bone structure
