Shampoo bars

Has anyone moved from branded shampoo to a shampoo bar? I use Kerastase products which I’ve used for quite a few years now, but have been looking at using a shampoo bar instead. I’ve seen an independent seller who has good reviews for her shampoo and conditioner bars, so I’m tempted to give them a go, but a little worried it won’t be good for my hair. My shampoo and conditioner lasts for quite a long time, so it would be interesting to hear how long the shampoo bars last as well. Also my hair is highlighted, if that makes a difference. TIA

I think you just need to try some… Some seem better than others. Some can make your hair feel a bit sticky afterwards. Lots of threads on here so maybe worth a search.
Just seen this new brand... nutandnoggin.com/

I got four months out of my first shampoo bar from Juliet Rose and the conditioner bar I purchased at the same time is still going strong thinking it’ll last at least four more weeks. My second shampoo bar hasn’t lasted as long as the first one did though. My hair is also has highlights and it’s been fine in fact my hair dresser commented how soft my hair is.

I alternate between my salon Wells shampoo and Conditioner and my Friendly soap shampoo bar - I find that I don’t need conditioner with it.

I use a shampoo bar. They last me about 6 months, I don't need conditioner and it makes my hair lovely. I am ever going back!

Lisa Armstrong, the beauty person in the Telegraph recommended the Christophe Robin one. I can’t remember the name, think it was £16.

I couldn't get on with the Friendly Soaps one - it left my hair like hessian. Lush bars work well, as do some others that I've tried. I haven't bought shampoo in a bottle for a couple of years now and my hair has adjusted. Plastic free and much, much cheaper.

Shine On Shampoo Bar www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07JMDZKFH?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share&tag=mumsnetforu03-21

I got this in July, wash my hair twice a week and it’s only half used. Love it. My hair is very long and thick and this gives it softness, shine and squeaky cleanness.

I’d like to try a solid conditioner but haven’t used one yet.

Lush bars are fab but the shop is such a pain in the ass I haven’t bought from them in yonks.
