interview outfit

I have an interview next week and wanted thoughts on my proposed interview outfit please?

I've lost nearly 5 stone in a year so I don't have many clothes that don't hang off me and as this is my first (external) interview in many years, I'm a bit uncertain re: what to wear.

So I was thinking black jeggings, black boots, leopard print shirt and blazer (similar to this one but not exact same www.boden.co.uk/en-gb/addlestone-tweed-blazer-navy-yellow-overcheck/sty-t0425-nav?cat=C1_S2_G2_G545&pid=T0425-T0425-G_00000002155 )

Is this smart enough? Also I'm worried about being bloody freezing in this weather so was wondering should I wear a jumper or would that be even less smart?

Help! I also don't have time to get another outfit (or the budget for one!)

I think it depends on what the dress code is for the job. But I wouldn't wear jeggings for an interview personally. I'd wear proper trousers or a dress and a jacket.

Well done on your weight loss and on getting an interview.
It sounds like a stylish outfit, but without knowing what sort of job you are going for I can't say if it is suitable.
The main thing is for you to feel prepared, smart and confident.
Good luck.

It's a non clinical role. Office based.

I don't have trousers that fit at the moment and my dresses are all casual summery dresses. I'd need to have a look to see if they could be dressed up in anyway. They are quite flowery

Can't remember the last time I wore black trousers tbh

oh I've just remembered I have a plain black blazer, that might be smarter option

Yes, or a plain shirt. Leopard print is a bit love it or hate it. You'll be great.
Have a look at what you have - you might end up with several options.
You could get away with a summery dress boots and a thin jumper or cardigan under the jacket.
Have fun.

I personally wouldn't wear jeggings for an interview, far too casual. And I think a leopard tint blouse plus a tweed blazer is too much. I can't cope with mixed patterns at all.

Good luck with the interview and well done on the weight loss, that's an incredible achievement.

Your proposed outfit would be fine if you were going for a job in a relaxed tech company or something like that. As it's for an office based job, I would also not wear jeggings (too casual ass pp have said) and the leopard print shirt (very marmite and if your interviewer doesn't like it, they might be putt off yo just based on your clothes). Could you perhaps try a pair of high waisted paperbag wool trousers and a white shirt instead?

I had this same issue earlier this year. So I went out and bought a specific pair of interview trousers that could also be worn if I got the job. I'd never wear jeggings to an interview.

I bought these, www.marksandspencer.com/mia-slim-ankle-grazer-trousers/p/clp60133212

And I wore them with a white blouse and grey jacket with a low heeled shoe. I looked smart but not power interview smart.

You can't wear leggings to an interview honey!
Why don't you buy some new black trousers from somewhere cheap like Primark or New Look? Then you can wear them to work. Or try looking in charity shops? Then all you need is a long sleeved shirt. You can do it for £20 no problem. Good luck!
