Do you have to get it from a dermatologist?

How much does it cost?

When do you notice a change in your skin?

What strength do you use?

How often do you use it?

I buy from barustore. Much cheaper and no prescription needed.

Approx $10 a tube, discount if you buy more then one.

You need to start off slowly or you will have retinol burn, peeling red and sore skin, so a very gradual build up, and moisturize, moisturize, moisturize.

I use 0.1% every second night, but I'd start at 0.5% as above, you need a very gradual build up.

You will begin to see noticeable results after 3/4 weeks.

It's the most important skincare step for anti aging imo.

Ok I live in the uk. I don’t think you can buy it not on prescription. $10 is cheap i believe it is really expensive over here.

@Tiredmumma27 I started on 0.025% and have moved to the 0.1% after 9 months. My skin is still getting used to higher strength. Sometimes I overdo it and use acid toners (not at the same time) so it makes my skin extra dry and sensitive. However I make sure I use good hydrating moisturiser and serums/creams with ceramides which helps repair the skin barrier.

I’m in the UK but get it from an online pharmacy in Andorra it’s about 20 euros.

What changes do people see? I’m thinking if using it for pigmentation

It sent my teenage son round the bend quite literally. Please be careful when considering using it. My son had to come off it and had a mental depressive breakdown and was at risk of suicide. He has never been the same again. He had every side effect going joints became like an old man had to give up sport eyes dried out hair thinned and fell out (and never recovered) and scary mental health. All brought on by this.

Except I think I just read isotretinoin which is roaccutane so please ignore my post if this is something else 🙈

Lightnesspixie - no worries - it’s a cream rather than a drug.

I’m in the UK and order mine through Dermatica. As far as I know they’re the only UK based online pharmacy to provide it, so it’s a bit more pricy than ordering from overseas, but I do feel you get a proper consultation (albeit online). I started at the lowest strength and worked my way up to 0.050. They have stuff they can prescribe specifically for pigmentation - hydroquinine I think? Anyway it’s £22 per month but I find my wee bottles last me 2 months so I pause it in between x
