Any beauty pie members?

I'm about to give it a try, as all my skincare and makeup seems to have run out at the same time. Does anyone have recommendations? Also- they ask if you've been referred by a friend so they can 'thank them properly'- does anyone want to be my friend? Someone might as well get the benefit of it! Wink

I use beauty pie for almost all my skin care and a lot of make up and I love it. Makeup wise I really like the chunky lip crayons, there are two types one is more sheer. The highlighter that comes in a pallet of three is amazing, one pore wonder is the best powder.

My skincare routine is Hydra Prep - I recently introduced it and it’s making a big difference, skin is more hydrated.
Mist, hylaronic acid serum, mist again. Super healthy skin moisturiser, then spf ( only 30, wish it was 50).

I’m using tretinion so I’m trying to keep my skin as hydrated as possible and it’s working brilliantly.

The Dr Glycolic is amazing too. Perfume is lush I like the apple one and if I’m feeling flush I order a candle because they’re so good.

Happy to do the referral thing if you dm me, but regardless I’d say give it a try. I started at the lowest subscription, I’m on £30 per month now, but it’s my treat to myself

I've sent you a DM.
What is your skin type? My skin is so dry and dull, I'd love to brighten it up, but with 2 under 2, I can't even reliably manage anything that requires a hot cloth to remove, as by the time I've found one, another kiddy crisis is occurring!

I was a beauty pie member but I’ve just cancelled as I’ve accumulated enough stuff and I’m on a no buy 2020! I was thinking of reducing to the £5 membership and just saving up all the money for a wee splurge at the end of next year but I’ll see how I feel.

I love the Japanfusion cleanser, probably my favourite skincare product. I’ve tried the double cleanser also but it left my skin tight (I have normal to dry dehydrated skin).

I’ve been introducing things this year like acids etc but my skin just absolutely hates them so I’ve simplified my routine again and my skin is much clearer.

I do cleanse (Japanfusion on a no makeup day, Japanfusion followed by Emma Hardie cleansing balm if I have makeup)
Mist (Josh Rosebrook hydrating accelerator)
Eye cream
Serum (Zelens power D or Hydraluron)
Moisturiser (whatever I have at the time)

At night I do cleanse, mist, eye cream, oil. Too many steps was breaking me out something awful

If you like makeup then the beauty pie eyeshadow sticks are just lovely!

BellaBraithwaite · 30/11/2019 19:17

Another ad for Beauty Pie? Hmm

Itsabeautifuldaytosavelives123 · 30/11/2019 19:38

Been throwing my money at them for a year now, I've bought once and I wasn't impressed, reminds me I need to cancel.

kmini · 30/11/2019 21:56

I like their stuff! Tinted moisturiser and hyaluronic acid are both worth a try. Retinol products (can't remember the specific name). People rave about Japan fusion- but cant say I love it. Although i don't think I ever waxed lyrical on cleanser Smile.

I've just ordered vit c capsules, micro peeling drops, youth serum, concealer, wonder powder, eyeliner, wondersticks, nail polish. Massive splurge but I've been banking my points for months and also bought my sisters xmas present!

kmini · 30/11/2019 22:04

I should also say it's one of those things to think in terms of what you spend. I did the 20 PM membership for 3 months and just gone back to the 5 PM. I'm probably overall spending slightly more than I would like to after considering the membership - for instance my favourite hyralonic/vit c is 30 quid which I get through in less than two months if I only use at night. So overall if I add up and dont but much else than beauty pie seems expensive - but I have fun trying the new products and overall for the sheer array of products I now have - it's actually quite good value.

SplatPancake · 30/11/2019 22:58

I’ve reduced my membership too — far too much silicone and hyaluronic acid for my skin, unfortunately.

Nail stuff is good, sleeping oil nice. Bought but haven’t tried the fake tan. Body scrub leaves my skin very soft, no need for lotion.

Not keen at all on the makeup I’ve had — too warm for my cool/pale tones. Nice quality though - but not amazing...

I love, love, love one of the perfumes - piss poor staying power, but £16, so happy to keep re-spraying

SplatPancake · 30/11/2019 23:02

Oh, and stock controls are awful too - I’m waiting for frutizyme to come back in, and then I’m quitting!

Karmatime · 01/12/2019 09:11

I joined earlier this year and mostly really like the products. Favourites are the self tan, Dr Glycolic lotion, Vit C moisturiser, hair mask and the eye shadow sticks. I think I end up spending more overall as I’m looking to buy stuff when I get allowance rather than waiting until I need it.

sliceofbeautypie · 01/12/2019 13:57

@BellaBraithwaite actually not! I named changed because if someone wanted to refer me to get the benefit I didn't want to dox myself! I'd hope that they'd be more subtle with their MN name if they were doing that, but given how many ads I see on Facebook, I'm not sure they do subtlety! Grin

Ha sorry @sliceofbeautypie . I 'know' Marcia and she's always stealth advertising on here Grin

BP is OK. They pull the rrp out of the blue though, it's just made up. And for that reason, I don't like them

ChardonnaysDistantCousin · 01/12/2019 14:20

I hated the VitC capsules.

Horrible smeary silicony feeling. Like the cleansers and setting powder, but I think I might cancel my membership soon.

Ilikecurrybest · 01/12/2019 14:26

I had a subscription for a few months. I didn’t think the quality was all that and certainly not what they claim.

sliceofbeautypie · 01/12/2019 14:46

@BellaBraithwaite I totally agree on that front! At the risk of sounding like I'm advertising, I've a friend who bought the brush set and really liked it, and I need a set so figured it was worth trying the membership just for that. I don't understand how they claim to keep prices low by not advertising, when their ads are now penguin bollarding me around the internet! Grin

I'm a newish member. I joined on the 5 pounds a month with first month free. After 4 months a had a £250 budget. I spent about £50 (so about £70 all in). For that I got the retinol night cream, step 1 and 2 of the Japan fusion range, some face sheet masks and one of the eye shadow sticks. The eye shadow stick is great and very similar to the Bobby brown ones. It's too early to tell re the other stuff.
