Hello! I get through no end of cotton pads, with cleansing, make up removal etc. I really like the organic ones but at £2.50 a pack, I was getting through a pack a week, i was feeling very guilty about the amount I was getting through and throwing away. I bought these. Has anybody tried them? Do you like them s d do you continue too use them? Thanks Ali x www.<a class="break-all" href="https://amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B07F5FLJTT?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title&tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-style-and-beauty-3754414-Has-anybody-used-reusable-cotton-pads" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B07F5FLJTT?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

I’ve recently bought these. They’re bamboo and the black ones are sooo soft. You also get little exfoliater brushes too!

I've been using these Bambaw brand ones for a few months now and they are fab. Come with a drawstring bag that I chuck in the 60 deg wash with the sheets. I either dry them by hanging the bag on a radiator afterwards or put the pads in the sock holder on my clothes airer.

That's for makeup - I use the Ikea white hankies (as PP recommended) for cleansing. A Sali Hughes tip originally!

Also highly recommend the Face Halo - more expensive, but you can use it a few times between machine washes (you clean it with soap after use) and it's absolutely brilliant at removing makeup without any cleanser (sorry if someone had already mentioned it, not read the whole thread!). I took mine on holiday and it saved so much packing space!

Hankies?? Flannels! From the baby section.

Thanks Zinnia those Bambaw ones look good.
There's loads of good stuff on that website.

I use cotton pads sold as nursing pads on eBay. Cheap and soft, and really decent size

I have been been using the one made out of fibre. It’s really easy to clean and dries quickly as well. Got mine here

I use the pads from cheeky wipes which are great. But recently bought some from a local seller which are crocheted in cottton and are perfect for me.

Stilllivinghere · 02/01/2020 08:49

Does anyone feel that they use a lot more product with them?

ExpletiveDelighted · 02/01/2020 08:58

I use bamboo flannels from a cloth nappy website, but I use a cleansing balm that you massage on and then wash off with a hot wet flannel so I'm not putting product directly on the flannel. I don't imagine they'd work very well with toner, but I don't use it.

@Themarvellousmrsm I'm interested in the nail varnish removing ones as I still use disposable pads for that, how do you clean them?

Themarvellousmrsm · 02/01/2020 14:02

Expletive I use some I purchased locally but felt were too rough for my face and just chuck them in the machine on whatever wash is going. The light colour varnish wash out but a deep red has stained. I think it's the abrasiveness of them that's good for nail vanish. As a pp poster commented, I do use more product though.

ExpletiveDelighted · 02/01/2020 16:59

I might try and find something similar then. I imagined it wouldn't wash out.
