What would you do about this gap ?

Honestly I think gaps in teeth are great and add a charm. But mine is very big and it's bothered me all my life. I've had good and bad comments about it it overall I feel like it ruins my face.
It's not only that, the problem is that my teeth tilt backwards and that is also noticeable. I rarely smile with an open mouth on photos.
I don't want to pay thousands for a set of braces as my other teeth are ok, it's just the gap. Do you think it looks too big ? I have heard of other options like bonding or veneers, just wondered if anyone else had had this and if they had any dental work ?

What would you do about this gap ?

I like your gap.
You look like you have healthy white teeth, so putting veneers over the top would be a shame.
invisilign braces might be an idea as you keep your own healthy teeth and close the gap.

My sister had a gap like yours and she got veneers, every so often they fall out or something happens. She is semi happy with them.

My ex husband had braces put on in adult life and his teeth turned out well.

I like you're gap and your teeth are lovely and white. Don't do anything with them.

Thank you for the kind replies. It's just that they tilt back as well which is unsightly, and if i am laughing with my mouth wide open it looks terrible.
I will look into different options including the invisalign, I have tried to be happy and confident with them but I can't.

Bonding does not damage your teeth. It stains easily and can fall though. May need replacing every 3 to 5 years. I dont advise veneers its such an old way to sort out teeth.
You could get invisalign which only reliably closes the gaps of 6mm. .. any more and you need bonding to close completely.
Ask about it at your next check up or go for a free invisalign consultation. It's totally worth it.you could pay by 0% finance.

I had a gap. I had it closed using braces, but they drifted again. My dentist eventually widened my front teeth slightly using white filling material (is that bonding?) enough to make the gap barely noticeable. It's done wonders for my confidence. My gap was a bit smaller than yours though. I have to say, I think yours looks fine and you've lovely white teeth. I like gaps on other people, I just didn't like mine. The advantage of what I had done is that it's relatively cheap, the disadvantage is that they can chip & they need replacing occasionally.

Thanks again. I just think they look awful on photos when I smile. It doesn't help either that I have very small teeth, I will go ahead with dental work, but will look into finance options.

Another thing is that from the side they look like they go in two different directions 😔

It's fine it's sortable. Most people with great teeth had work done. Invest in yourself.
