Please be honest - do fillers hurt?

I’m dying to have my tear troughs and nasolabial lines done but I’m terrified! I rang the clinic I’m thinking of using and they told me they use a topical anaesthetic cream and that the filler itself contains anaesthetic (which confused me a bit because doesn’t it take a minute or two to kick in?). I’ve also had the topical cream before when I had laser resurfacing and I still felt the laser burning my skin.... it’s basically a stronger version of Bonjela. Anyway, please be honest about your experiences thanks Grin

A bit. But it takes little time so doesn’t matter. I suppose there needs to anaesthetic in the substance itself as it’s invasive so the skin takes a while to settle down. I get my lips done and they tend bruise and swell for a couple of days.

I didn’t think they hurt at all, I had them in my lower face plus a little bit in the corners of my mouth, also had Botox for droopy eyelids and that didn’t hurt either. I have quite a high pain tolerance though and have also had injections recently for a medical condition which did hurt - a lot - due to mahoosive needles they stuck in me, so the little face tinkering needles were nothing compared to that and the numbing cream did it’s job very well for me.
