DIY temporary hair tint that my hairdresser won't hate me for?

I have an event this weekend and hairdresser can't fit me in. I want to get a bit of a caramelly/coppery glint on my otherwise mid brown hair and wondered what in a box might give me a good effect, preferably temporarily. Any suggestions?

Superdrug Colour Effects Wash In Wash Out colour- I think it’s about £2 or £3. I used it recently when I couldn’t get to the Hairdresser’s and it did a good job of disguising roots and brightening up my colour, but didn’t affect the permanent colour when I had my next hair appointment. There are various shades- I’ve got a mid and darker brown. Both of those are a bit warmer than I have usually, but we’re fine.

Echo the previous poster. The copper one is fab!

Adore semi permanent. Dilute it 1:2 with any white conditioner. They're a true semi and doesn't stain especially if you dilute it. I do the same using a purple colour to tone my grey/silver hair.

Those spray on colours from L’Oréal

A copper tint won’t wash out unfortunately, I think you’d be stuck with a ginger undetone to your hair after

Taking notes and googling... Thank you Grin

Another vote for Superdrug Colour Effects - really good value, washes out fine after a few washes or if you keep using it you get a more intense colour, leaves hair shiny too. Love it.

I absolutely swear by the Superdrug wash in colour too.
My hair is really fragile due to long term meds so can't take any type of proper dye, yet I use this and it gives great shine, plus really tones out my grey and improves the condition of my hair.
I go between the red and the copper.

That Superdrug wash in/wash out colour is really good and only lasts 1-3 washes. It leaves my hair very shiny and conditioned. It’s like the old Hint of a Tint or Shaders and Toners you could get in the 90s.

That's the level of tint I'm going for. Just need to find a nice caramelly one, I think pp is right to avoid copper. It's the tone most likely to go orangey and I that would not be ideal!

Marion colour shampoo, I buy it off ebay.....you have a choice of 24 colours.
It's really cheap, kind to hair and easy to use....just shampoo in in leave in hair for 15-45 min, rinse and condition.
Btw. I'm in my final year training to be a hairdresser and use it myself.
