I have receding gums and also want a pressure sensor. Thanks

The sonicare by Phillips is great, uses sonic waves rather than harsh rotating. Think the more expensive ones have a pressure sensor. Has been great on by sensitive teeth

I prefer an oral-b oscillating brush to a sonic one, I asked the dentist which was better and they said it was really down to the preference of the user.

I do think that going a few steps above the basic means you get a better clean which more power. I have one that was around £100 and it’s great, has all the bells and whistles (even Bluetooth which I’ve used!) and I do really like it. You can get some good deals around Christmas too.

I have the oral b genius 9000. It was the top of the line oral b brush but has since been replaced by a newer version so you can probably find the genius 9000 on offer (especially with Black Friday). Highly recommended, it has all the features you need and more and I think it’s reasonably priced if you buy it on sale!

Just to add, I have had my genius 9000 for 18 months and paid £2-300 for it - I am still extremely happy with my purchase today. It will probably retail for around £100 or less on Black Friday which is an absolute steal.

This has a pressure sensor and is a good toothbrush for the price. www.boots.com/oral-b-pro-2000-pink-rechargeable-electric-toothbrush-10182233

Oral b one with pressure sensor. Had live for nearly 10 years and it's brilliant! Probably lots of newer versions now.

TwigTheWonderKid · 12/11/2019 16:22

My hygienist said all you need is one with a timer and pressure sensor and that Oral B are better than the Sonicare ones. She said there is no reason to sepnd more than about £60.
