It has to cover my dark circles but not settle in my wrinkles underneath my eyes?! I use Mac foundation and currently their concealer but it isn’t cutting it and sits in my creases.

Has anyone found the dogs bollocks of all concealers?!?

I had the same problem using ELDW so I bought the Nars concealer which is much creamier. Still the same issues. Yesterday I had a consultation in Space NK and they said similar to a poster above, moisturise with a good eye cream, concealer and don't use any powder as that settles in any fine lines. I now have Hourglass Veil concealer which worked well in the store.

Oh yes another vote for the IT cosmetics one. It honestly transforms me from tired mum of 3 under 3 to healthy awake looking person! I find you only need the tiniest amount, warmed up on the back of your hand and it goes on like a dream. I love their cc cream too. I'm a real fusspot with make up but these two products have transformed me!

I buy it online from their website but the first time I bought it from QVC as they do a money back guarantee so could have returned it if it wasn't the right colour xx

Thank you halo!

I used to have exactly this problem, went through a ton of high end concealers to find the holy grail. I've found that if I use a colour corrector ( after moisturising) then the maybelline age rewind concealer - so good because it has a thin texture but is high pigment. Then use a damp beauty blender dipped in powder- I'm currently using Huda beauty 'poundcake' to set. You can't see my crepey undereyes and I'm nearly 50 😁

Thanks by the way, to everyone offering tips.

So I guess the powder thing is dependant on the person as some it works for some it doesn’t....

I always use cream around the eyes and let it sink in before applying makeup. I don’t have a peachy colour corrector, mine have green, red, lilac, yellow and blue.

It looks like you're using too much product, less is definitely more. The thicker you put it on the more it will crease. Make sure you look up when you're applying it (so you're not applying it directly to the creases) and wait for a few minutes for it to dry before setting it. Make sure you don't use a face power to set it, try something specifically for the under eyes(although the bourjois one I mentioned is really good) . Bobbi brown do a concealer that comes with a tiny under-eye setting powder, or Elf (now sold in super drug) do a specific under eye setting powder, and it's only about £6.

Halo2459 · 06/11/2019 15:28

... And whatever you do, don't 'bake'. This is some crap created by 19 year old you tubers who don't even need concealer and haven't got wrinkles yet 😳

I like Benefit Boing (it's been re-formulated, it used to be called Erase Paste). It's quite a sticky texture and you need a very small amount so it lasts ages.

To stop it settling in creases, I've found The Ordinary caffeine solution 5% to be really effective; it's about £6 and you only need a couple of drops. Definitely worth a try!

I have the white powder from Mac. Looks better with it I have to say but not amazing.

I’m going to scour the shops at the weekend to see what I can get out of this list! I don’t mind paying more money at all, it’s just the initial waste of money of buying and it not being great that’s a concern but may start with the high street recommendations first.

Don't take your foundation up to your under eye then use your concealor.

Revlon eye primer is amazing, it brightens rather than conceals, very odd how it does it. Only one shade ,so no good for dark skin. Adapts to any shade of light skin though.

Wonderingwhyme · 06/11/2019 16:17

Ok thanks. I am very light so will try that too.

It's fantastic and just seems to cancel out all discoloration without cakiness. It's amazing on eye lids too without making you look like a reverse panda!

bettybigballs · 06/11/2019 17:14

Becca brightening corrector followed by the Maybelline one mentioned before is my panda eyed saviour!

Babette99 · 06/11/2019 17:56

Yes. It's not the concealer that needs changing. Believe me, try moisturising under eyes first, apply concealer lightly and then pat with a tiny fingertip of oil. Jojoba is fine, or squalane. I use Superdrug facial oil. Swear at me if it doesn't work but just try it!

Babette99 · 06/11/2019 17:57

Try yellow...

Wonderingwhyme · 06/11/2019 18:35

Concealer and then oil?!? Ok I’ll try it! I have superdrug vitamin e oil would that do?

I will try the yellow colour corrector I have too.
