So I struggle really badly since having kids to get bras that fit.

I think my cleavage (if you can call it that) is quite wide set. I'm maybe ever so slightly broad shouldered. My boobs aren't saggy at all but feel much more empty since breastfeeding, especially at the top.

So I measure at 29 around the underband, 32 around the fullest part. Does this make me a 30b? I usually buy from m&s in around a 30c, just because I've found that in a 30b, it looks like there's excess fat to the sides (not breast tissue) and due to having the wide spaced 'cleavage' the wires feel like they are only just in the right place. I'm a slim size 8 yet it doesn't look right iyswim.

Thing is, there is often a bit of gaping at the top of the cup. And this is even when I try buying balconette styles.

It feels like I can never find nicely fitting bras. I don't care about my boobs being different or smaller since breastfeeding but it's frustrating that it's so hard to find something to fit properly.

I just bought some lovely underwear from Boux Avenue and everything fits lovely, except for the usual problems with the bra sizing as above.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Getting desperate now...

Chicken fillets?

I’d definitely go for a fitting at Boux Avenue. I did some research and their staff came out the best for accurate fitting in a number of reviews. I’ve ordered online from them and returns and exchanges were very easy.

You mentioned a slight gaping at the top of the cups. Without meaning to sound weird have you scooped your boobs into place once you’ve got the bra on? What we often think is just fatty bits under the arms is actually boob. Scooping them in and up into the cup gets you a better fit.

I ‘m a size 8, wore a 32b and the cups were gaping. I got fitted and came out a 30dd. Sometimes gaping can be caused by ill fitting band or straps rather than cup size.

Also bras are like jeans, you’re never the same size in 2 shops! Hope you find something that you love.

Thankyou MrsLeclerc

I'm pretty sure it's not breast tissue, it's too far back/to the sides 😂 I've done the thing of leaning forward and scooping everything into the cup.

I definitely couldn't go down another band- 30 band is correct I think. I've tried them on again and I think the 32b is the better fit- fits well in the cups and under the band but just looks to me like it's squishing back fat a little.... but it does feel comfy so I'm guessing it's alright.

I miss my pre-DC boobs 😔 buying bras used to be easy

Breast tissue can migrate to the underarm area. Continue to scoop and lift to get as much breast tissue into to cup as possible. Look for bras with a high wire that sits back rather than a tight U that will sit over the side boob. A wide band that is well supported and even with boning or stitched post will contain and smooth out underarm area. You may benefit from a plunge or push up style. A low gore should work for you and be careful of full cups if you are bottom heavy as you have nothing up top to fill the cup and it will end up gaping even though the bra fits you. Look for cups that have side panel to offer more support there and vertical seams on the lower cup.

I don’t think your problem is size, it’s probably finding the style and the brand that suits your shape and breast tissue type.

Thankyou for all the tips 💐

I had a wonderbra when I was younger, that had strings at the front to adjust how far you wanted to bring them together, maybe I need something like that 😂
