Uggs/alternatives to uggs - wanting to be comfy and warm in the third trimester

I'm looking at getting pair of sheepskin boots. I'm sure they're probably in the Style and Beauty Room 101 but I'm not super fashionable and can't justify spending the money on Uggs.

I'm in my third trimester and struggling with socks and shoes but I've accepted defeat that flip flops/trainers with no socks season is firmly at an end.

Does anyone have any suggestions that:

  • are sheepskin style
  • a little fluffy and cosy but not trashy looking
  • have a proper sole (not a foam one)
  • are comfy and easy to get on/off around a large bump
  • are versatile enough to wear with skinny jeans, yoga pants, leggings and casual dresses
  • don't cost a fortune

All suggestions are welcome Grin

Have a look at Fitflop - Mukluk shorty boots. Unfortunately they are not much cheaper than Uggs at full price but they would certainly do the job for you apart from perhaps wearing with a dress.
I began to feel that I was getting too old for sheepskin Uggs and bought the flitflop Mukluk on a whim when I saw them with money off in a shoe shop a couple of years ago. Although they are probably a bit old womanish for some I lived in them for the whole of the winter (and surprisingly got loads of compliments) so when I saw them being advertised for a bargain price in a summer sale I bought another pair to have on stock. These are still sitting in the box in my wardrobe as my original pair are still perfectly wearable.
I’ve found them to be just as comfy and warm as Uggs and they definitely wear better than any suede Uggs I’ve ever owned.
Having said all that - If you have a Costco card someone I know bought a pair of Ugg lookalikes from there at a bargain price and has been more than happy with her purchase

I have the Costco sheepskin boots. They are incredibly comfortable and warm. I live in them for work from October until march! Think they were about £30 so a bargain as they get so much use and usual last me 2 years.

I just got myself a second hand pair of Emu's (style - charlotte) from ebay. Really comfy and warm.

Thank you ladies. I'm on the hunt now.
I can't wait to have nice warm feet.

Celtic and Co do brilliant sheepskin boots. They are made in Cornwall.

Not cheap, but I got a pair four or five years ago and they are still going strong.

I wear bearpaw if you can get hold on them in the UK.
Properly made, hard wearing and very comfortable.

Another vote for the Kirkland ones, although I used mine as house slippers.
