Fighting a losing battle with lower face sagging and beginnings of jowels , I love my subtle Botox but don't fancy fillers so I was thinking of trying a course of radio frequency treatments to see if they work , anyone tried ?

I have had a course of radio frequency and it did nothing for me, also you are supposed to wait for the collagen to build up,
I have since had cheek fillers and was very happy straight away,as you can see the results immediately
If you need a lift cheek fillers will help, and also help with the nose to mouth lines, plus i found my slight bags under my eyes seemed to disappear,
You need to go to a qualified person though i went to a dentist and i am very happy with the results, had them in February and just noticeing now will need to go again before Christmas but not a drastic difference ,just need topping up

Thanks , that is disappointing, wary of fillers in case I end up looking over stuffed !! I might give the rf a go and if no improvement consider cheek fillers ...

I've met a few people that had Ultherapy. One said it hurt like a bitch and had v little improvement. The other thought a bit of improvement but probably not worth the cost. The third said she was left with temporary numbness and had v little improvement. I know it's FDA approved but it sounds the results aren't living up to the hype. It's also v expensive. I know that's only 3 people but if I had the money I don't think I'd go for it.

There is always this worry that fillers will make you look overstuffed. The reality for most of us is that we couldn't justify the cost that would give the overstuffed look. The overstuffed look takes many many mls, and thus many many pounds. 1ml of filler will not make you overstuffed.

If it were Ultherapy vs filler, my choice would be filler, 1ml at a time.

I've never heard of radio frequency therapy before but a quick google showed me that several of the companies are using frequencies around the 0.3 to 10 megahertz and its all to do with stimulating heat cells. I would be amazed if you managed to see any difference with that.

Fillers don't make you look overstuffed,if done properly they just fill your face out a bit, they have knocked about 10 years off me as i had lost fat in my face, and lifted it a bit
I have seen people with fillers, mainly on TV which makes them look like they have had 2 triangles stuck in their cheeks, no one can tell i have had them,as i have put a little weight on in general, they think i just look better

The other thing you could look at for lower face especially is a thread lift, prices vary, but my daughter had one a few years ago aqnd it lasted for about 18 months maybe longer as she doesn't look her age and no jowls, she paid quite a lot more than most charges today, the dentist i go to charges £1000 ,which is much less some places and you would pay more than that for ultherapy and only need to go once,

Meant to say there are 2 kinds of thread lift, but this is the basic and most popular one,and like cheek fillers results are instant

Thanks , mmm I think il have a few sessions to see rather than book a block , would love a lower face lift , there's an excellent surgeon close by who has devised a lower lift I'm tempted to try but need the ££££ first !
