I have had this problem time and time again! I have very thin, fine hair that grows extremely slowly. It dries really quickly though, so I suppose that is a bonus! I have had a few hairdressers over the years, but the most recent one was the one that caused me the most frustration! I have found that a blunt bob suits my hair the best. When cut right, it feels much thicker and fuller. I always took a photo or drawing to my hairdresser to show her how I would like my hair to be cut. One time she would cut as per photo/picture and I'd be happy. The next time, I would ask for a dusting off the very bottom of my hair but she would cut it a lot shorter than I asked for and layer at the bottom, despite me asking her not to do so, which just made it look really straggly. What is with the trim at a 90+degree angle to the scalp?? She would justify the butchering as "getting rid of dead ends".
I cut it myself now, but just need a good colorist!
