Shampoo/conditioner recommendations from supermarket for dry hair

I usually just buy whatever's on offer but my hair is dry and suffering from being coloured and highlights.

I've seen a post going round on fb about how bad certain shampoos and conditioners are, so wondered which ones are actually ok?

I can't afford proper salon ones at the moment. Currently using the Banana hair food treatment but I read I think on here, that it's protein and I need moisturiser.

Hask is available in a lot of supermarkets now, £7 but they do 1/3 off promotions frequently. The coconut one is lovely. It's also SLS free and smells amazing.

I think a lot of it comes down to your individual hair. I had to have steriods and it made my hair so dry and fragile - I tried all sort of expensive hair masks, shampoos and conditioner (inc sulphate, etc free) and nothing helped until I used Aussie Miracal Moist shampoo, conditioner and the 3 minute intensive conditioner.

Another tip is always rinse conditioner with cool water - supposedly helps lock it in. Seems to work anyway.

I have very dry hair and swear by pantene. The do one for coloured hair which should help stop your highlights fading. Superdrug have it for about £2-3 I prefer it to the salon products.

Another vote for Aussi Miracle Moist, my hair is noticeably softer and shinier when I use it.

I think shampoo matters less. Buy a cheap one and put the extra few pounds towards a good quality conditioner.
