And if you can, does anyone have any recommendations?

Interested in this too. Kettlewell do a brief online assessment but it’s too random for my needs!

Yes! I've not long had mine done. Check out styled by Susie. She's got a website and is on insta and FB. Affordable too. I've got a house of colours near me and they were 4 times as much as I paid for my analysis by Susie. It was also so lovely I cried 😂

Ooo interesting.
@LegoCardSwapper did the lighting etc not affect your 'colour' online? Did you FaceTime or send pics?

LegoCardSwapper · 22/10/2019 23:02

Nope, send pics taken in natural daylight and answer a questionnaire. I'm trying to be restrained and not gush too much about it in case MNHQ think I work for her and am advertising. I definitely don't, she's just wonderful - so positive and uplifting. Before I was analysed I saw people saying she'd changed their lives and I though "blergh" but I totally get it now.

I think people who are very definitely in one "season" could possibly be done through a photo if it was high quality enough (natural light, etc). I'm a blue spring which means I'm warm toned but only slightly, I suit spring colours but my best colours are all the spring blues which takes me close to the cusp of being a Winter. I don't think anyone could reliably diagnose me as a Spring from pictures, especially if I was wearing navy, which I wear most days (including today with silver jewellery, as I can get away with that combo unlike other Springs).

To be honest I think a lot of people could fairly easily diagnose themselves (again, if they're definitively in a season). There are lots of guides online - basically you compare 2 similar colours on yourself and see which looks better, eg white/cream, magenta/coral, khaki/lime, lemon yellow/mustard... you do need a good eye for colour though and to understand the theory behind it. A fantastic website for this is www.truth-is-beauty.com/.
