Forehead Botox At 26?

PennyNotSoWise · 22/10/2019 20:31

Hey, just want some opinions.

I raise my eyebrows a lot when doing make up and putting my false lashes on. It's resulted in a single long crease/wrinkle above each eyebrow. I'm freaking out a bit that they're going to get really deep, because I can't help lifting my brows. I have tried stopping, I just can't.

Would I be daft to get Botox? Even if it doesn't get rid of them as they are, that's okay, but I want to prevent them getting worse. I'm using Tretinoin 0.050%, so I'm thinking Botox along with this will be a good action plan? Trouble is, I don't want the frozen look at my age. Is it possible for Botox to be effective whilst still being able to move a little, or am I asking the impossible?

Also, if I'm being utterly ridiculous, please do give me a virtual kick up the arse and tell me so Grin TIA.

You don't need to be frozen if you have Botox ! See a good doctor for a consultation .

Thanks for replying Penguin.

Glad to hear being frozen is avoidable. I guess I'm a bit baffled as to how it can be effective if it doesn't paralyse the muscle?

How long have you been using the tretinoin and how often do you use it?

Tbf if you have deep lines at 26 that's a lot to do with your genes, but as there's nothing you can do about those I'd start by making sure your diet, skincare and lifestyle are good.

The plenty of water, plenty of sleep, good food (low carb/intermittent fasting makes an enormous difference to your skin v quickly, not recommended if you have/had an ED though) not crap etc. Plus a decent skincare regime (am and pm) should make a good start.

Personally I would never have botox (for many reasons), I'm completely happy with the results tretinoin + good lifestyle have given me, but if I were you I think I'd ditch the false eyelashes and get some of those frownees (frowneez?) tape things to help you stop the eye brown raising when applying makeup.

Thanks EatenByDinosaurs

Nearly a year, and I use it every other night. My skin still gets irritated if I use it every night.

They're not deep yet, just a fine line either side, that's why I was considered the botox as a preventative.

I lost my own lashes to alopecia, hence the falsies. I can't get used to my eyes without them yet, I look too weird. I've never heard of the tape thing though, I'll look into that. Thank you :)
