Moisturiser with SPF recommendations

I'm in my early 30s and have wanted to introduce a day cream with SPF to put on in the morning. I don't wear foundation but do wear liquid eyeliner and the two brands that I have tried so far just feel sticky and make my eyeliner run, even though I put it on before brushing teeth and getting dressed to let it soak in. I've not had this problem when I was previously using just a light serum....is it the SPF that is more greasy? Please tell me your recommendations!

I like Boots No7 Protect & Perfect spf15 day cream

I’d recommend a separate sun cream, at least spf 30. La Roche posay do nice ones.

Second separate sunscreen...you really don't apply enough otherwise. Best one I've used is mimitika factor 50 (can get it from feel unique), it's the only one I've found which isn't greasy, or leaves a cast. Worth the money...I tend to pair it with boggo moisturiser like cerave...gram for gram probably cheaper than a fancy pants all in one (the cheaper all in ones aren't very nice for the reasons you describe - mostly the grease factor). Let me know if you want a link for the mimitika and I'll try and work out how Smile

I love my own moisturiser, Sanctuary Radiant something. It's light on my greasy skin, has a hint of illumination and is 15spf. It doesn't aggravate eczema but I don't wear makeup beyond the occasional mascara, so can't comment on that.

I posted a thread recently asking for SPF recommendations and lots of people posted (thank you all!). There is quite a lot online about moisturiser/SPF combos don’t have the same level of protection as a proper SPF it’s better to treat them as separate items. I’ve just ordered the Biore Watery Essence which lots of people suggested but am still waiting for it to arrive so I can’t comment on it yet!

Paula’s choice do a nice tinted SPF.

Yes, either something like Biore Water (it's a really runny lotion so doesn't glop on your face like a traditional sunscreen) or an spf 50 primer like Frezyderm.
Moisturisers and foundations etc with spf really aren't worth it.

Not a good idea to put SPF near your eyes. Use a separate eye cream and apply spf face cream no further up than the top of your tear trough. As for recommendations - Aldi's Rejuvenate SPF 30 day cream is good (as is the night cream) and Asda does a great eye cream pump - if you want low budget. However price is not always an indicator of quality. I've tried Lauder and Dior in the past ... Aldi is just as good, if not better.

The skin round the eyes is a common area for skin cancer. You should put SPF round the eyes.
