What to do with my hair?!

Hello!

I'm a little bit stuck with my hair. I've been growing it for years and it's now about 2-3 inches below my breasts and whilst I love the length, I don't know what to do with it.

I'm 24, naturally brunette, all one-length, fine-ish hair that when air-dried goes a bit wavy/curly with not a lot of root volume.

I've got a round face and I don't know which type of parting to do. I've tried centre parting and side parting but they don't seem quite right. I previously had a fringe and absolutely hated it so that's also a no.

I don't want to use heat every day (I chucked my hair straighteners so now only have a hairdryer) and prefer the natural look rather than the polished look, but the parting is really confusing and I'm not sure what to do.

Does anyone know/have any recommendations for ideal partings for women with round faces?

Thanks in advance!

A centre parting will make your face look longer.

@MikeUniformMike - thank you, I think I'll go back to that. I tend to just tuck all my hair behind my ears during the day which I think kind of defeats the purpose, would I be better off with some very soft layers at the front, or is that a big mistake?

I'd not get a fringe.
I have a long face so was just suggesting what looks awful on me.
Google celebrities with round faces and see what styles suit them.

Maybe have some subtle layers cut in for movement but count yourself lucky that you don't have to use heat every time you wash your hair, or dye it to cover roots/greys! Sounds like you have nice hair.

@MikeUniformMike I've had a fringe before and regretted it the second it was cut, so I won't be doing that again.

@fancytiles I bit the bullet and cut in some subtle layers at the front last night and it's made a very big difference, I really like it!
Thank you! It is indeed nice hair, I just always go through periods of having no clue what to do with it and I certainly needed some volume at the front, which I now have, so thank you!

Glad you like it! I'm sure it looks very nice ☺️☺️

I'd go to a good hairdresser, one who's a bit of an artist as well as a good cutter, talk to them about your 'hair lifestyle', eg are you someone who just wants to wash it and go or do you not mind doing a bit of styling after you wash it, and ask for suggestions. Also look through their books of hairstyles first and choose some you like.

That's easier said than done she!
I've been searching for that hairdresser for 20 years after loosing my lovely hairdresser (they moved overseas).
I find a lot of hair dressers are very attentive and interested in discussing what you want and what sort of look you are after...but when it comes to cutting they go into auto-pilot and give you something that you didn't want after all

You need a hairdresser who will cut your hair to suit how your hair behaves. I asked someone who had a fab haircut who cut her hair, and I've gone to him ever since.
