Anyone found any products that actually work for hair loss/thinning?

Not sure if this is true style and beauty but will give it a try here anyway!

I have thyroid issues and over the past year my hair, which was never the thickest to begin with, is now really noticeably thinner and falling out rapidly!

I've tried various shampoos and multivitamins but no success so far. So looking for miracle solutions if anyone has any? Smile

Viviscal vitamins and shampoos/conditioners are fab and really do work. They’re £££££££ though, so keep hunting round for a special offer or coupon.

Another thread on here years ago, on this topic, had a post by a tricologist — or whatever the term for a hair specialist is!! —who said the only hair vitamins they’d ever seen work spectacularly was Florisene. That’s much cheaper at just £15 from Amazon, so maybe try that first.

My hair thinned badly last year when I was anaemic. I tried both these remedies and it grew back — but I also had iron tablets from the Dr too, so I’m still not sure what actually caused it to grow back!

My ferritin was low, taking iron supplements to raise my ferritin was gave my hair a boost and increased the regrowth rate!

I also liked nourikin (sp?) however I find them a bit expensive for use long term usage. I tried them for 6 months and did see a difference with my hair but that could be attributed to the iron supplements or other lifestyle changes. I wonder if there’s a cheaper alternative.

My hair has thinned due to the menopause.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I'll look into these properly. From a quick look it seems like the vitamins mainly contain biotin and l-lysine both of which I was looking into so that's quite promising. I have also bought an iron supplement so will start taking that too.
