£ Alternative to No7 P&P

I love how No7 Protect and Perfect serum feels on my skin but, coming to the end of a tube, I really can't justify £40 on another one. Are there any other brilliant but cheaper serums (maybe with matching moisturisers) or there that people could recommend?

I'm 34, and pregnant with DC1.

Thank you!

Boots usually do good offers so it might be worth looking out for one of them. £40 is a lot. Would Aldi have a good serum? Are the GoW ones any good?

Have you tried the ordinary serums? I've heard good things about them.

I use the Superdrug hydration serum and it's so good! It's less than £5 a bottle.

P&P is, in my opinion, worth it
I've used other serums for different things but nothing comes like it for that feeling of "new skin"
I've tried:
Superdrug Pure (costs about £3) it's fab, and I stockpile it, but it plumps and hydrates- it doesn't give you that resurfaced feel.
The Ordinary- tried a few, hated them all, chucked the lot Strange company with a strange almost messianic leader behind it all
Vichy Vit C- this is the dog's bollocks for brightening but also over £20
Nip &Fab Dragon's Blood and Nip & Fab No Needle- both good
Vichy Aqua numbery something, a hyaluronic (like the Dragons Blood) s'ok but no Holy Grail
Estée Lauder Night Repair- touted as THE holy grail by so many. Well, I don't know why!
I've tried others too, but always come back to n7 ones. They are full of silicones, which some don't like (and which can be quite drying- in fact I alternate n7 serums with others) but IMO, there's none better.

ps- you could save on your moisturiser, it's the cleansing and the treatments that make the difference. I have used "good" but £££s moisturisers, but generally use Nivea or Astral as night cream and whichever Garnier/Olay/L'Oréal is on offer as a day cream.

@crazymuseummumtobe boots now do a budget q10 anti aging serum for £4! I'm a long term no.7 user but couldn't afford it this time round either so thought I'd give this a shot. I've been using it for 3-4 weeks now, you can tell it's a cheaper product from the packaging and the ways the serum looks and feels but so far I can't see any difference in results from protect and perfect.

There's other stuff in the same range I might try when my usual run out. Can't argue with the price!
