Do you have a favourite brand of facial skincare?

Do you use one brand for everything or do you use a few different brands for different things?
My skin isn’t great, i try so many different brands which then end up not being suitable so i spend a fortune. I don’t know where to turn next!

I only use a brand called Bravura now. Not overly expensive and it lasts a long time.

It works on my skins wonderful.

Obagi

LaPampa · 13/10/2019 23:54

I use a mix of brands and also a mix of products so I don’t use the same stuff every day or time of day.

Bobthefishermanswife · 14/10/2019 00:04

Garnier micellar water,
Nivea 2in1 cleanser and toner,
Boots No7:
Day cream
Night cream
Eye cream
Glow activating serum
Illusions airbrush primer

I've tried a few day and night creams but No7 has been best.

fraggleplop · 14/10/2019 00:20

My perfect day cream
Elemis night cream
FOREO facials
Nivea face scrub

I use L'Occitane 'Immortelle' range for moisturisation. It's really expensive but seriously good. Botox seems to be quite popular with some mums in my area - personally though I don't know why anyone would ever think it's worth doing; pricey, shortish lived and frankly, fucking obvious when your face goes all weird! I think this range of moisturisers plumps as well as any botox.

I use rose toner that I mist from a spray bottle after cleansing, which is with either Green People Gentle Cleanser and Makeup Remover, or L'Occitane foam cleanser - Immortelle range again. You can use any kind of rose toner; sadly the only one I've found an easy source of is by bloody pricey Neal's Yard. Rose is a good calming agent for the skin. Green People Cleanser is lush; smells of geranium, which I love. Gets off everything.

stayfit · 14/10/2019 00:34

La Roche posay recommended here a lot and I found to be very gentle on skin. It's usually on offer in boots. Ordinary is good if you can work out a routine from their site.

toomuchisneverenough · 14/10/2019 00:46

Epionce! It's pricey enough but so worth it!
I have extremely sensitive skin everything I have ever used has either dried my skin out or caused it to break out this is the first ever skincare that's done neither!!

I've tried nivea, la roche posay, simple, image, kalme, avene, clarins, Estée Lauder and probably more I can't think off!

I use a variety of brands, I think you have to go by the individual products and find out what works best for you. I do like Bravura, mentioned by a PP. Their calendula glycolic/lactic acid toner and azulene moisturiser are lovely and the packaging is all pretty coloured glass jars and bottles. Really reasonably priced too.

I'm currently using A313 pommade for my retinol (I stopped using tretinoin for various reasons), paula's choice for bha and aha, Peter Thomas Roth for peptide toner which is actually more like a serum, ARgENTUM for night time facial oil, Dr Hauschka for daytime facial oil, vichy 89 for hyaluronic acid, Avene for moisturiser, Sampar eye cream, Garden of Wisdom niacinamide and timeless vitamin c e ferulic, body shop for sunscreen. Some are day time, some night time and I don't use them all every day. My skin is happy at the moment so no plans to switch anything unless that changes, though the PTR peptide toner has been discontinued, a bottle lasts forever and I have an unopened back up so no panic to find a replacement yet.

Writersblock2 · 14/10/2019 08:42

I use a variety too. I really rate Paula’s Choice and The Ordinary.

professionalnomad · 14/10/2019 12:27

Kiehl's and The Ordinary. Nothing else.

banskuwansku · 14/10/2019 14:57

Clinique now but moving to the Origins after I have used rest of the Clinique products.

Abeautifulstar1 · 14/10/2019 17:24

I am personally more into products made with natural ingredients, cruelty-free and that don't come in plastic packaging. I like all the Valley mist products, especially the make up remover cream and the baby balm (that I also used for my cracked nipples while breastfeeding!)

Moved from trying anything to Facetheory over last few months.

Will try their cleansers next.

Though I do like superdrugs B hot cloth cleanser and glycolic acid. So cheap and do good!

MoreSchnitzelPlease · 14/10/2019 22:14

I am really impressed by Superdrug skincare. They have a few ranges, I particularly like the Naturally Radiant and B. ranges. They nearly always have offers for skincare so if you don't get on with something (that hasn't happened for me yet) then I'm not out too much money.

YahBasic · 14/10/2019 22:18

A mix of Superfacialist, Alpha H and Kiehls.

wizardgirl27 · 14/10/2019 22:26

I love REN! Melts like butter into your skin. They have loads of vegan products too. Also Aurelia, it's expensive but amazing and comes in glass bottles so is much better for the environment! Both are against animal testing too!
REN have 20% off first orders: vouchershares.co.uk/brands/renskincare-com/?code=32279
Aurelia have 10% off vouchershares.co.uk/brands/health-and-beauty-skincare-aur/

LemonPrism · 14/10/2019 23:24

I use different brands. My easy go-to non expensive options are cetaphil, Etude House and Superdrug vitamin E.

Expensive loves are Nanette de Gaspe, Glow Recipe and Waso.

LemonPrism · 14/10/2019 23:25

Shisedo Waso*

LemonPrism · 14/10/2019 23:26

Herbivore is supposed to be good too

Zinnia · 15/10/2019 02:28

I chop and change with most things, but keep coming back to Ren for moisturisers and sometimes serum too.

RibenaMonsoon · 15/10/2019 02:46

Lush. Ultrabland cleanser and I've tried most of their moisturisers. Skins shangri la is my fav.
I stopped using lush for a while and it really showed on my skin. I'm back on it now and my skin looks amazing again.
