hurry up about it, will you?

not just immediately post baby i mean, but for those of us who are, lets face it, a different shape than before... and cant be arsed/havnt the wherewithall to work out 4 hours a day in the gym/go under the knife to get it back...

well? mrsB? anyone?

actually, if anyone thinks they have the know-how to do it, i might be able to invest...

God yes. Because even if I did go to the gym, I doubt my waist would ever go back to where it was, and as for the norks...

I grew up with the family mail order firm, so count me in - now all we need is a fashion person.

(p.s TM, it's the kind of world domination we can do while still living in the country).

Isabella Oliver are forever sending me emails about clothes for the "4th trimester"

tranquilamanana · 12/08/2007 18:10

ooh yes vonsudenfed, letstake over the world!

4th trimester? hmmm, we may have to come up with better marketing pitch than that... lol

well thats just daft. half that stuff is clingy round the middle. who wants clothes that cling to a middle that used to be someones home. and it shows.

theyve got lots more on there since i was last up the duff...

hmm
could we sell stylish macs with hoods as well?

vonsudenfed · 12/08/2007 20:47

I remember the fourth trimester: I wore baggy tops, tracksuit trousers and a permanent air of bewilderment. I had no intention that any of this would be permanent.

It's clothes for grown-ups who are a grown up shape - I read in an article recently that jaeger are the only people who use a 'woman's' shape for designing (i.e. someone who is 38, had two children...) as all of the other stores just scale up from teenage girls. But I think a £150 skirt would be rather wasted on my current lifestyle.

tranquilamanana · 12/08/2007 20:58

oh god yes mrsB. please. sounds great.

aint that the truth vonsudanfed!

www.babeswithbabies.co.uk here!

tranquilamanana · 13/08/2007 23:10

ah!

thanks frizbe.

but thats again just for 'new' mums.

what i want is proper clothes for 'old' mums. not neccessarily old in age i mean... i was 26 when i had my first... and by some amazing luck i was back into same size clothes as before within a fortnight.
but they never looked right again coz i am a different shape! my middle is no longer a bit i want shown off. and im not gonna work it off, id just like to dress it well.
i dont wanna spend time and energy chasing ridiculous and impossibvle dream of looking 20 again - i like my wine and choc too much for that!
but a reliable source of flattering, flabby bits disguising tops and jeans without the muffin tops wouldnt go amiss...
