Recommendations for super soft and snuggly hoodies/cardigans?

Expecting my first baby in the next month/6 weeks and DH and I are on the hunt for some lovely soft hoodies or cardigans so that we can have plenty of skin to skin cuddles with baby without getting too cold! We can’t spend a fortune so cashmere and the like is probably not an option, does anyone have any suggestions?

Should have said, everything needs to be zip or button front, not pullover!

For whom to wear? You, your husband or the baby?

I’d go for dressing gowns or the mid length dressing gowns, think you would struggle to find anything else suitable in a good price range

All three. Hoodie must have six arms and a pocket for two mobile phones and a dummy.

Superdry hoodies are the cosiest. Their ebay shop has loads at cheap prices. For women, size up. Their large is a 12.

Oysho. Lovely soft fabrics and inexpensive. Gear for loungewear and nightwear.

Personally I don’t like the feeling of a cold zip on my bare skin so I would definitely go for a cardigan. Massimo dutti has some mixed wool cashmere that are extremely affordable, might be worth checking their website

I have the loveliest photo of a groggy, tousle-haired dh smiling sheepishly at the camera, with our week-old dc1 yawning inside dh's towelling dressing gown. He wasn't sure he should have done it, just followed his instincts. Good instincts! For years he used to tie his dressing gown sash tightly and pop our baby dc inside, snug against his chest.

Sorry, not helpful, but your question brought back such happy memories Grin
