Simply Be boots....

Anyone tried them and willing to share their experience?

Despite being a regular woman-shape everywhere else, I'm blessed with the calves of a pro rugby player and high street boots just don't cut it.

Ideally I'd love a buy-once pair of perfect robust autumn boots that actually fit me; and would happily pay to fix / resole them every year if I needed to. But I just can't find such a thing so the Simply Be ones feel like they're within an acceptable budget if they only last a season.

I have a lovely pair of Duo knee-highs which I've had for years, but they are a bit more delicate and less appropriate for stomping around pushing prams through parks etc.

I had a pair I bought 3 years ago and they fit like a dream (extra wide). However, last winter the whole boot spilt along the bottom without warning and they couldn't be repaired. I don't know if I was unlucky or if I just wore them too much but in terms of fit I'd definitely recommend them.

Ooh thank you! 3 years is a good innings for

I have some Heavenly Feet boots that are incredibly comfortable and have lasted three years - though I do have holes on the heel bit of the sole now (but that's because I walk funny due to a foot problem at birth that needed massaging to correct) I can't link you cos the website is down but it's the leather chelsea boot.

I've gone on to buy the patent and purple floral ones since when they were on sale. They were £40 when I bought them but they've gone up to £50 now.

I have bough the curvy calf ones and they've been comfortable calf wise but feet wise they made my feet ache and rub after a decent length walk. This isn't a reflection on the shoes but more my feet - I struggle with shoes that aren't trainers on the whole.

If you go ahead it's worth creating an account if you dont' have one already. It means you can try all the varying calf widths and fin d the one that works for you without having to pay outright and then return for a refund :)
